Exodus 11

1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "Ancora una piaga farò venire sul faraone e sull'Egitto: dopo di che vi manderà via di qui, e quando vi manderà via vi caccerà definitivamente di qui.
2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'	2 Di' dunque agli orecchi del popolo: ogni uomo al suo vicino, e ogni donna alla sua vicina, chieda oggetti d'argento e oggetti d'oro".
3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.	3 Il Signore concesse grazia al popolo agli occhi degli Egiziani: anche Mosè era un uomo molto grande in terra d'Egitto, agli occhi dei servi del faraone e del popolo.
4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,	4 Mosè disse: "Così ha detto il Signore: "A metà della notte io uscirò in mezzo all'Egitto,
5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.	5 e morirà ogni primogenito in terra d'Egitto, dal primogenito del faraone che siede sul suo trono fino al primogenito della serva che sta dietro alla mola, e ogni primogenito del bestiame.
6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.	6 Ci sarà un grande grido in tutto il paese d'Egitto, come non c'era mai stato e come non ci sarà.
7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.	7 Ma contro i figli d'Israele neppure un cane aguzzerà la sua lingua, dall'uomo alla bestia, perché sappiate che il Signore fa distinzione tra Egitto e Israele.
8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.	8 E allora tutti quei tuoi servi scenderanno da me, mi adoreranno dicendo: "Esci, tu e tutto il popolo che ti segue". Allora uscirò". E uscì dal faraone, infiammato di collera.
9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'	9 Il Signore aveva infatti detto a Mosè: "Il faraone non vi ascolterà, affinché i miei prodigi siano numerosi in terra d'Egitto".
10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.	10 Mosè ed Aronne fecero tutti quei prodigi davanti al faraone, ma il Signore indurì il cuore del faraone, che non mandò via i figli d'Israele dal suo paese.
