Exodus 11

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!	1 El Señor dijo a Moisés: «Voy a enviar contra el Faraón y contra Egipto una sola calamidad más, y después él los dejará partir de aquí. Más aún, cuando los haga partir, los echará de aquí definitivamente.
2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'	2 Mientras tanto, ordena al pueblo que cada hombre pida a su vecino, y cada mujer a su vecina, objetos de plata y oro».
3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.	3 El Señor, por su parte, hizo que el pueblo se ganara el favor de los egipcios, y el mismo Moisés llegó a gozar de gran prestigio en Egipto, tanto entre los servidores del Faraón como entre el pueblo.
4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,	4 Moisés dijo: «Así habla el Señor: «Hacia la medianoche, yo saldré a recorrer Egipto,
5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.	5 y morirán todos tus hijos primogénitos, desde el primogénito del Faraón, el que debe sucederle en el trono, hasta el primogénito de la esclava que maneja la máquina de moler, y todos los primogénitos del ganado.
6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.	6 Entonces resonará en todo Egipto un alarido inmenso, como nunca lo hubo ni lo habrá jamás.
7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.	7 Pero contra los israelitas –ya sean hombres o animales– ni siquiera ladrará un perro, para que ustedes sepan que el Señor hace una distinción entre Israel y Egipto».
8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.	8 Luego vendrán todos tus servidores a inclinarse ante mí, y me dirán: «¡Váyanse, tú y el pueblo que está bajo tus órdenes!». Después me iré». Y lleno de indignación, Moisés se alejó de la presencia del Faraón.
9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'	9 Luego el Señor dijo a Moisés: «El Faraón no los escuchará, para que se multipliquen mis prodigios en el país de Egipto.
10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.	10 Moisés y Aarón realizaron todos estos prodigios delante del Faraón; pero el Señor le había endurecido el corazón, y él no dejó partir de su país a los israelitas.
