1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!	1 Yahvé dit à Moïse: “Je vais envoyer un dernier fléau sur le Pharaon et sur l’Égypte. Après cela, il vous laissera partir d’ici. Il vous laissera tellement bien partir, que même il vous chassera d’ici.
2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'	2 Va donc dire ceci au peuple: Que chaque homme emprunte à son voisin, et chaque femme à sa voisine, des objets d’argent et d’or.”
3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.	3 Yahvé rendit le peuple sympathique aux Égyptiens, d’ailleurs Moïse était un très grand personnage en Égypte, très bien considéré par les serviteurs du Pharaon et par le peuple.
4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,	4 Moïse dit: “Voilà ce que dit Yahvé: Au milieu de la nuit je traverserai l’Égypte,
5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.	5 et tout premier-né mourra au pays d’Égypte, depuis le premier-né du Pharaon qui est assis sur son trône jusqu’au premier-né de la servante qui est derrière sa meule, jusqu’au premier-né de tout animal.
6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.	6 Dans tout le pays d’Égypte on entendra un cri de douleur comme il n’y en a jamais eu et qu’il n’y en aura jamais plus de semblable.
7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.	7 Mais chez les Israélites, pas un chien n’aboiera, ni pour mort d’homme, ni pour mort d’animal, afin que vous sachiez que Yahvé fait une différence entre l’Égypte et Israël.
8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.	8 Tous tes serviteurs viendront vers moi et se prosterneront devant moi en disant: Sors avec tout le peuple qui te suit! Et alors je partirai.” Ceci dit, Moïse sortit de chez le Pharaon très en colère.
9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'	9 Yahvé dit à Moïse: “Le Pharaon ne vous écoutera pas, c’est pourquoi je multiplierai mes prodiges en Égypte.”
10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.	10 Moïse et Aaron avaient fait tous ces prodiges devant le Pharaon, mais Yahvé avait fait que le Pharaon s’entête, et il ne laissa pas les Israélites sortir de son pays.
