Exodus 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!	1 Dijo Yahveh a Moisés: «Todavía traeré una plaga más sobre Faraón y sobre Egipto; tras de lo cual os dejará marchar de aquí y cuando, por fin, os deje salir del país, él mismo os expulsará de aquí.
2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'	2 Habla, pues, al pueblo y que cada hombre pida a su vecino, y cada mujer a su vecina, objetos de plata y objetos de oro.»
3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.	3 Yahveh hizo que el pueblo se ganase el favor de los egipcios. Además, Moisés era un gran personaje en la tierra de Egipto, tanto a los ojos de los servidores de Faraón como a los ojos del pueblo.
4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,	4 Moisés dijo: «Así dice Yahveh: hacia media noche pasaré yo a través de Egipto;
5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.	5 y morirá en el país de Egipto todo primogénito, desde el primogénito de Faraón que se sienta en su trono hasta el primogénito de la esclava encargada de moler, así como todo primer nacido del ganado.
6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.	6 Y se elevará en todo el país de Egipto un alarido tan grande como nunca lo hubo, ni lo habrá.
7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.	7 Pero entre los israelitas ni siquiera un perro ladrará ni contra hombre ni contra bestia; para que sepáis cómo Yahveh hace distinción entre Egipto e Israel.
8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.	8 Entonces vendrán a mí todos estos siervos tuyos y se postrarán delante de mí, diciendo: Sal, tú y todo el pueblo que te sigue. Y entonces, saldré.» Y, ardiendo en cólera, salió de la presencia de Faraón.
9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'	9 Y dijo Yahveh a Moisés: «no os escuchará Faraón, para que así pueda yo multiplicar mis prodigios en la tierra de Egipto.»
10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.	10 Moisés y Aarón obraron todos estos prodigios ante Faraón; pero Yahveh endureció el corazón de Faraón, que no dejó salir de su país a los israelitas.
