1 Chronicles 18

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 After this David defeated the Philistines and subdued them. From the grip of the Philistines he wrestedGath and its dependencies.	1 وبعد ذلك ضرب داود الفلسطينيين وذلّلهم واخذ جتّ وقراها من يد الفلسطينيين.
2 He also defeated the Moabites; the Moabites became David's subjects and paid him tribute.	2 وضرب موآب فصار الموآبيون عبيدا لداود يقدمون هدايا.
3 David also defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah, which lies in the direction of Hamath, when the lattermounted an expedition to assert his rule on the River Euphrates.	3 وضرب داود هدرعزر ملك صوبة في حماة حين ذهب ليقيم سلطته عند نهر الفرات.
4 David captured one thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers and twenty thousand foot soldiersfrom him; David hamstrung al the chariot teams, keeping only a hundred of them.	4 واخذ داود منه الف مركبة وسبعة آلاف فارس وعشرين الف راجل وعرقب داود كل خيل المركبات وابقى منها مئة مركبة.
5 The Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer king of Zobah, but David kil ed twenty-two thousand of the Aramaeans.	5 فجاء ارام دمشق لنجدة هدرعزر ملك صوبة فضرب داود من ارام اثنين وعشرين الف رجل.
6 David then imposed governors in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramaeans became David's subjectsand paid him tribute. Wherever David went, Yahweh gave him victory.	6 وجعل داود محافظين في ارام دمشق وصار الاراميون لداود عبيدا يقدمون هدايا. وكان الرب يخلص داود حيثما توجّه.
7 David took the golden shields carried by Hadadezer's guards and brought them to Jerusalem.	7 واخذ داود اتراس الذهب التي كانت على عبيد هدرعزر وأتى بها الى اورشليم.
8 From Tibhath and from Cun, towns belonging to Hadadezer, David captured a great quantity ofbronze, with which Solomon made the bronze Sea, the pil ars and the bronze implements.	8 ومن طبحة وخون مدينتي هدرعزر اخذ داود نحاسا كثيرا جدا صنع منه سليمان بحر النحاس والاعمدة وآنية النحاس
9 When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,	9 وسمع توعو ملك حماة ان داود قد ضرب كل جيش هدرعزر ملك صوبة
10 he sent his son Hadoram to King David to greet him and to congratulate him on having made war onHadadezer and on having defeated him, since Hadadezer was at war with Tou. He also sent al sorts of objectsmade of gold, silver and bronze,	10 فارسل هدورام ابنه الى الملك داود ليسأل عن سلامته ويباركه لانه حارب هدرعزر وضربه. لان هدرعزر كانت له حروب مع توعو. وبيده جميع آنية الذهب والفضة والنحاس.
11 which King David also consecrated to Yahweh, as wel as the silver and gold which he had leviedfrom al the nations, from Edom, Moab, the Ammonites, the Philistines and Amalek.	11 هذه ايضا قدسها الملك داود للرب مع الفضة والذهب الذي اخذه من كل الامم من ادوم ومن موآب ومن بني عمون ومن الفلسطينيين ومن عماليق.
12 Abishai son of Zeruiah defeated the Edomites in the Val ey of Salt -- eighteen thousand of them.	12 وابشاي ابن صروية ضرب من ادوم في وادي الملح ثمانية عشر الفا.
13 He stationed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David's subjects. Wherever Davidwent, Yahweh gave him victory.	13 وجعل في ادوم محافظين فصار جميع الادوميين عبيدا لداود وكان الرب يخلص داود حيثما توجّه.
14 David ruled over all Israel, administering law and justice to al his people.	14 وملك داود على جميع اسرائيل وكان يجري قضاء وعدلا لكل شعبه.
15 Joab son of Zeruiah was in command of the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was herald;	15 وكان يوآب ابن صروية على الجيش ويهوشافاط بن اخيلود مسجّلا
16 Zadok son of Ahitub and Abiathar son of Ahimelech were priests; Shusha was secretary;	16 وصادوق بن اخيطوب وابيمالك بن ابياثار كاهنين وشوشا كاتبا
17 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and Pelethites; David's sons took firstplace after the king.	17 وبنايا بن يهوياداع على الجلادين والسعاة وبنو داود الاولين بين يدي الملك
