1 After this David defeated the Philistines and subdued them. From the grip of the Philistines he wrestedGath and its dependencies.	1 - Dopo ciò Davide battè i Filistei, li umiliò e tolse dalle mani dei Filistei Get e i villaggi circostanti.

12 Abishai son of Zeruiah defeated the Edomites in the Val ey of Salt -- eighteen thousand of them.	12 Abisai figlio di Sarvia battè diciottomila Idumei nella valle delle Saline,

14 David ruled over all Israel, administering law and justice to al his people.	14 Regnò adunque Davide sopra tutto Israele e amministrava il diritto e la giustizia a tutto il suo popolo.
15 Joab son of Zeruiah was in command of the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was herald;	15 Joab figlio di Sarvia comandava l'esercito, Josafat figlio di Ailud era lo storico,
16 Zadok son of Ahitub and Abiathar son of Ahimelech were priests; Shusha was secretary;	16 Sadoc figlio di Achitob e Achimelec figlio di Abiatar erano sacerdoti e Susa segretario;
17 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and Pelethites; David's sons took firstplace after the king.	17 Banaia figlio di Joiada comandava ai Ceretei e ai Feletei, mentre i figli di Davide erano i suoi primi ministri.
