Jeremiah 33

1 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time while he was still imprisoned in the quarters of the guard:	1 - E il Signore comunicò una seconda volta la sua parola a Geremia mentre stava ancora chiuso nel cortile del carcere dicendogli:
2 Thus says the LORD who made the earth and gave it form and firmness, whose name is LORD:	2 «Questo dice il Signore, colui che sta per effettuarlo, eseguirlo e compierlo, il cui nome è il Signore.
3 Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell to you things great beyond reach of your knowledge.	3 Chiamami ed io ti esaudirò e ti manifesterò le cose grandi e irremovibili che tu non conosci.
4 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and the palaces of Judah's kings, which are being destroyed in the face of siegeworks and the sword:	4 Perchè, così dice il Signore Dio di Israele alle case di questa città e alle case del re di Giuda che sono demolite, e agli ordigni e alla spada
5 men come to battle the Chaldeans, and these houses will be filled with the corpses of those whom I slay in my anger and wrath, when I hide my face from this city for all their wickedness.	5 di coloro che vengono per combattere coi Caldei e per riempirle di cadaveri umani ch'io ho colpiti nel mio furore e nella mia indignazione, col nascondere la mia faccia a questa città per tutta la loro malvagità.
6 Behold, I will treat and assuage the city's wounds; I will heal them, and reveal to them an abundance of lasting peace.	6 Ecco che io prenderò cura delle sue ferite e della sua guarigione e li guarirò e farò loro manifesta la impetrazione della pace e il suo avveramento.
7 I will change the lot of Judah and the lot of Israel, and rebuild them as of old.	7 E ritornerò la schiavitù di Giuda e la schiavitù di Gerusalemme alla libertà, e li ristabilirò come da principio.
8 I will cleanse them of all the guilt they incurred by sinning against me; all their offenses by which they sinned and rebelled against me, I will forgive.	8 E li monderò da ogni iniquità da loro commessa contro di me, e farò remissione di tutte le loro colpe colle quali mi avevano offeso e disprezzato.
9 Then Jerusalem shall be my joy, my praise, my glory, before all the nations of the earth, as they hear of all the good I will do among them. They shall be in fear and trembling over all the peaceful benefits I will give her.	9 E ciò sarà per me rinomanza e godimento e lode ed esultanza in tutte le genti della terra che avranno udito tutto il bene che io sono per fare a loro, e resteranno sorpresi e sbalorditi per tutto il bene e per tutta la pace che a loro concederò.
10 Thus says the LORD: In this place of which you say, "How desolate it is, without man, without beast!" and in the cities of Judah, in the streets of Jerusalem that are now deserted, without man, without citizen, without beast, there shall yet be heard	10 Così dice il Signore: - Si udiranno ancora in questo luogo, che voi dite essere deserto, perchè non vi sono più nè uomini nè animali; nelle città di Giuda, fuori di Gerusalemme, che sono in desolazione senza uomini, senza abitanti, senza bestiami; si udiranno ancora
11 the cry of joy, the cry of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, the voice of the bride, the sound of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD, singing, "Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, for the LORD is good; his mercy endures forever." For I will restore this country as of old, says the LORD.	11 voci giulive, voci festose, voci di sposi e di spose, voci di genti che dicono: "Lodate il Signore degli eserciti, perchè il Signore è buono, perchè in eterno è la sua misericordia!", e che recano i loro voti nella casa del Signore; perchè ritornerò la schiavitù di questa terra alla libertà primiera - dice il Signore.
12 Thus says the LORD of hosts: In this place, now desolate, without man or beast, and in all its cities there shall again be sheepfolds for the shepherds to couch their flocks.	12 Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: - Vi saranno ancora in questo luogo deserto, privo di uomini e di animali, e per tutte le sue città una dimora per i pastori ove faranno sdraiare i greggi.
13 In the cities of the hill country, of the foothills, and of the Negeb, in the land of Benjamin and the suburbs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them, says the LORD.	13 Nelle città della montagna, nelle città della pianura, nelle città che sono nel mezzogiorno e nella terra di Beniamino e nei dintorni di Gerusalemme e nelle città di Giuda passeranno ancora le greggi sotto la mano di colui che le conta, dice il Signore.
14 The days are coming, says the LORD, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and Judah.	14 Ecco che i giorni vengono, dice il Signore, e adempirò la parola buona che ho detto alla casa d'Israele e alla casa di Giuda.
15 In those days, in that time, I will raise up for David a just shoot; he shall do what is right and just in the land.	15 In quei giorni e in quel tempo farò germogliare a David un germe di giustizia e metterà in vigore il giudizio e la giustizia sulla terra.
16 In those days Judah shall be safe and Jerusalem shall dwell secure; this is what they shall call her: "The LORD our justice."	16 In quei giorni Giuda sarà salvato e Gerusalemme abiterà in tutta sicurezza e questo sarà il nome con cui lo chiameranno: "Il Signore giusto nostro". -
17 For thus says the LORD: Never shall David lack a successor on the throne of the house of Israel,	17 Perchè così dice il Signore: - Non verrà a mancare, dalla stirpe di David, uomo che segga sul trono della casa di Israele,
18 nor shall priests of Levi ever be lacking, to offer holocausts before me, to burn cereal offerings, and to sacrifice victims.This word of the LORD also came to Jeremiah:	18 e dalla stirpe dei sacerdoti e dei leviti non verranno a mancare uomini nel mio cospetto che offrano olocausti e ardano sacrifizi e scannino vittime tutti i giorni -».
19 Thus says the LORD:	19 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendo:
20 If you can break my covenant with day, and my covenant with night, so that day and night no longer alternate in sequence,	20 «Così dice il Signore: - Se potrà andar fallito il patto mio col giorno e il patto mio colla notte in guisa che a suo tempo non sia più giorno, non più notte a suo tempo,
21 then can my covenant with my servant David also be broken, so that he will not have a son to be king upon his throne, and my covenant with the priests of Levi who minister to me.	21 potrà andar anche fallito il patto mio con David mio servo in guisa che non sia da lui più figlio che regni sul suo trono, non più leviti, non sacerdoti ministri miei.
22 Like the host of heaven which cannot be numbered, and the sands of the sea which cannot be counted, I will multiply the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who minister to me.	22 Come le stelle del cielo che non si possono numerare e le arene del mare che non si possono calcolare, così moltiplicherò in numero il seme di David mio servo e i leviti miei ministri -».
23 This word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:	23 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendogli:
24 Have you not noticed what these people are saying: "The LORD has rejected the two tribes which he had chosen"? They spurn my people as if it were no longer a nation in their eyes.	24 «Hai visto questo popolo che cosa è andato a dire? - Le due famiglie, dice, che il Signore aveva elette sono state rigettate! - Hanno deprezzato il popolo mio al punto che non merita più, a loro avviso, l'onor di nazione.
25 Thus says the LORD: When I have no covenant with day and night, and have given no laws to heaven and earth,	25 Ebbene, così dice il Signore: - Se il patto col giorno e colla notte, se le leggi al cielo e alla terra io non ho fissate,
26 then too will I reject the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David, so as not to take from his descendants rulers for the race of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will change their lot and show them mercy.	26 allora anche il seme di Giacobbe e di David mio servo rigetterò senza prendere dalla sua discendenza principi del seme di Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe; poichè ritornerò la loro schiavitù in libertà e avrò pietà di essi -».
