Isaiah 27

1 On that day, The LORD will punish with his sword that is cruel, great, and strong, Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the coiled serpent; and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.	1 Naquele dia o Senhor ferirá, com sua espada pesada, grande e forte, Leviatã, o dragão fugaz, Leviatã, o dragão tortuoso; e matará o monstro que está no mar.
2 On that day-- The pleasant vineyard, sing about it!	2 Naquele dia se dirá: Cantai a bela vinha!
3 I, the LORD, am its keeper, I water it every moment; Lest anyone harm it, night and day I guard it.	3 Eu, o Senhor, sou o vinhateiro; no momento oportuno eu a rego, a fim de que seus sarmentos não murchem. Dia e noite eu a vigio,
4 I am not angry, but if I were to find briers and thorns, In battle I should march against them; I should burn them all.	4 e nada tenho contra ela. Se nela crescerem sarças e espinhos, eu lhes farei guerra e os queimarei a todos,
5 Or shall he cling to me for refuge? He must make peace with me; peace shall he make with me!	5 a menos que se coloquem sob minha proteção, que façam a paz comigo, que façam comigo a paz!
6 In days to come Jacob shall take root, Israel shall sprout and blossom, covering all the world with fruit.	6 Um dia Jacó lançará raízes, Israel produzirá flores e botões, e eles cobrirão o mundo de frutos.
7 Is he to be smitten as his smiter was smitten? or slain as his slayer was slain?	7 Porventura {o Senhor} os feriu como feriu aqueles que os feriam? Massacrou-os como massacrou aqueles que os massacravam?
8 Expunging and expelling, I should strive against them, carrying them off with my cruel wind in time of storm.	8 Ele operou justiça, mediante a expulsão e o exílio deles, arrebatando-os com seu sopro impetuoso como o vento do Oriente.
9 This, then, shall be the expiation of Jacob's guilt, this the whole fruit of the removal of his sin: He shall pulverize all the stones of the altars like pieces of chalk; no sacred poles or incense altars shall stand.	9 Assim foi expiado o crime de Jacó, e este é o resultado do perdão de seu pecado: ele quebrou as pedras dos altares, como se trituram as pedras de cal; as estacas sagradas e os monumentos ao sol não se erguem mais,
10 For the fortified city shall be desolate, an abandoned pasture, a forsaken wilderness, where calves shall browse and lie. Its boughs shall be destroyed,	10 porque a cidade forte é agora uma solidão, uma morada abandonada como o deserto. Aí vêm pastar os bois e aí pernoitam e comem os seus ramos.
11 its branches shall wither and be broken off, and women shall come to build a fire with them. This is not an understanding people; therefore their maker shall not spare them, nor shall he who formed them have mercy on them.	11 Tão logo os galhos secos se quebram, as mulheres vêm e lhes põem fogo. É um povo sem compreensão, por isso seu Criador não tem piedade dele, aquele que o formou não lhe dá nenhum perdão.
12 On that day, The LORD shall beat out the grain between the Euphrates and the Wadi of Egypt, and you shall be gleaned one by one, O sons of Israel.	12 Naquele tempo o Senhor malhará o trigo desde o leito do rio até a torrente do Egito. E vós sereis apanhados um a um, filhos de Israel.
13 On that day, A great trumpet shall blow, and the lost in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt Shall come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 Naquele tempo soará a grande trombeta. E serão vistos chegar os exilados da terra da Assíria, e os fugitivos espalhados pela terra do Egito. Eles adorarão o Senhor no monte santo, em Jerusalém.
