Isaiah 27

1 On that day, The LORD will punish with his sword that is cruel, great, and strong, Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the coiled serpent; and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.	1 Aquel día castigará Yahveh con su espada dura, grande, fuerte, a Leviatán, serpiente huidiza, a Leviatán, serpiente tortuosa, y matará al dragón que hay en el mar.
2 On that day-- The pleasant vineyard, sing about it!	2 Aquel día se dirá: Viña deliciosa, cantadla.
3 I, the LORD, am its keeper, I water it every moment; Lest anyone harm it, night and day I guard it.	3 Yo, Yahveh, soy su guardián. A su tiempo la regaré. Para que no se la castigue, de noche y de día la guardaré.
4 I am not angry, but if I were to find briers and thorns, In battle I should march against them; I should burn them all.	4 - Ya no tengo muralla. ¿Quién me ha convertido en espinos y abrojos? - Yo les haré guerra y los pisotearé, los quemaré todos a una,
5 Or shall he cling to me for refuge? He must make peace with me; peace shall he make with me!	5 o que se acojan a mi amparo, que hagan la paz conmigo, que conmigo hagan la paz.
6 In days to come Jacob shall take root, Israel shall sprout and blossom, covering all the world with fruit.	6 En los días que vienen arraigará Jacob, echará Israel flores y frutos, y se llenará la haz de la tierra de sus productos.
7 Is he to be smitten as his smiter was smitten? or slain as his slayer was slain?	7 ¿Acaso le ha herido como hirió a quien le hería? ¿ha sido muerto él como fueron muertos sus matadores?
8 Expunging and expelling, I should strive against them, carrying them off with my cruel wind in time of storm.	8 Te querellaste con ella y la echaste, la despediste; la echó con su aliento áspero como viento de Oriente.
9 This, then, shall be the expiation of Jacob's guilt, this the whole fruit of the removal of his sin: He shall pulverize all the stones of the altars like pieces of chalk; no sacred poles or incense altars shall stand.	9 En verdad, con esto sería expiada la culpa de Jacob, y éste sería todo el fruto capaz de apartar su pecado; dejar todas las piedras que le sirven de ara de altar como piedras de cal desmenuzadas. Cipos y estelas del sol no se erigirán,
10 For the fortified city shall be desolate, an abandoned pasture, a forsaken wilderness, where calves shall browse and lie. Its boughs shall be destroyed,	10 pues la ciudad fortificada ha quedado solitaria, mansión dejada y abandonada como un desierto donde el novillo pace, se tumba y ramonea.
11 its branches shall wither and be broken off, and women shall come to build a fire with them. This is not an understanding people; therefore their maker shall not spare them, nor shall he who formed them have mercy on them.	11 Cuando se seca su ramaje es quebrado en astillas: vienen mujeres y le prenden fuego. Por no ser éste un pueblo inteligente, por eso no le tiene piedad su Hacedor, su Plasmador no le otorga gracia.
12 On that day, The LORD shall beat out the grain between the Euphrates and the Wadi of Egypt, and you shall be gleaned one by one, O sons of Israel.	12 Aquel día vareará Yahveh desde la corriente del Río hasta el torrente de Egipto, y vosotros seréis reunidos de uno en uno, hijos de Israel.
13 On that day, A great trumpet shall blow, and the lost in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt Shall come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.	13 Aquel día se tocará un cuerno grande, y vendrán los perdidos por tierra de Asur y los dispersos por tierra de Egipto, y adorarán a Yahveh en el monte santo de Jerusalén.
