1 For the leader. Of David, the servant of the LORD.	1 Al maestro del coro. Di Davide, servo del Signore.
2 Sin directs the heart of the wicked; their eyes are closed to the fear of God.	2 Oracolo del peccato nel cuore del malvagio:non c’è paura di Dio davanti ai suoi occhi;
3 For they live with the delusion: their guilt will not be known and hated.	3 perché egli s’illude con se stesso, davanti ai suoi occhi,nel non trovare la sua colpa e odiarla.
4 Empty and false are the words of their mouth; they have ceased to be wise and do good.	4 Le sue parole sono cattiveria e inganno,rifiuta di capire, di compiere il bene.
5 In their beds they hatch plots; they set out on a wicked way; they do not reject evil.	5 Trama cattiveria nel suo letto,si ostina su vie non buone,non respinge il male.
6 LORD, your love reaches to heaven; your fidelity, to the clouds.	6 Signore, il tuo amore è nel cielo,la tua fedeltà fino alle nubi,
7 Your justice is like the highest mountains; your judgments, like the mighty deep; all living creatures you sustain, LORD.	7 la tua giustizia è come le più alte montagne,il tuo giudizio come l’abisso profondo:uomini e bestie tu salvi, Signore.
8 How precious is your love, O God! We take refuge in the shadow of your wings.	8 Quanto è prezioso il tuo amore, o Dio!Si rifugiano gli uomini all’ombra delle tue ali,
9 We feast on the rich food of your house; from your delightful stream you give us drink.	9 si saziano dell’abbondanza della tua casa:tu li disseti al torrente delle tue delizie.
10 For with you is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light.	10 È in te la sorgente della vita,alla tua luce vediamo la luce.
11 Continue your kindness toward your friends, your just defense of the honest heart.	11 Riversa il tuo amore su chi ti riconosce,la tua giustizia sui retti di cuore.
12 Do not let the foot of the proud overtake me, nor the hand of the wicked disturb me.	12 Non mi raggiunga il piede dei superbie non mi scacci la mano dei malvagi.
13 There make the evildoers fall; thrust them down, never to rise.	13 Ecco, sono caduti i malfattori:abbattuti, non possono rialzarsi.
