NEW AMERICAN BIBLEKING JAMES BIBLE
A song of ascents. I raise my eyes toward the mountains. From where will my help come?1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
God will not allow your foot to slip; your guardian does not sleep.3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Truly, the guardian of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps.4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your righthand.5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
By day the sun cannot harm you, nor the moon by night.6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life.7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever.8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
