1 A song of ascents. I raise my eyes toward the mountains. From where will my help come?	1 'Canto delle ascensioni'. Alzo gli occhi verso i monti: da dove mi verrà l'aiuto?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.	2 Il mio aiuto viene dal Signore, che ha fatto cielo e terra.
3 God will not allow your foot to slip; your guardian does not sleep.	3 Non lascerà vacillare il tuo piede, non si addormenterà il tuo custode.
4 Truly, the guardian of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps.	4 Non si addormenterà, non prenderà sonno, il custode d'Israele.
5 The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your righthand.	5 Il Signore è il tuo custode, il Signore è come ombra che ti copre, e sta alla tua destra.
6 By day the sun cannot harm you, nor the moon by night.	6 Di giorno non ti colpirà il sole, né la luna di notte.
7 The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life.	7 Il Signore ti proteggerà da ogni male, egli proteggerà la tua vita.
8 The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever.	8 Il Signore veglierà su di te, quando esci e quando entri, da ora e per sempre.
