1 Thus all Israel was inscribed in its family records which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel.Now Judah had been carried in captivity to Babylon because of its rebellion.	1 Svi su Izraelci bili upisani u plemenskim rodovnicima, a zapisani su i u Knjizi izraelskih kraljeva. A Judejci su zbog nevjere bili odvedeni u sužanjstvo u Babilon.
2 The first to settle again in their cities and dwell there were certain lay Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the temple slaves.	2 Prvi su stanovnici na svojem posjedu i u svojim gradovima bili Izraelci, svećenici, leviti i netinci.
3 In Jerusalem lived Judahites and Benjaminites; also Ephraimites and Manassehites.	3 U Jeruzalemu su živjeli ljudi od Judinih sinova, od Benjaminovih sinova, od Efrajimovih i Manašeovih sinova, i to:
4 Among the Judahites was Uthai, son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, one of the descendants of Perez, son of Judah.	4 Utaj, sin Amihuda, sina Omrija, sina Imrija, sina Banija, od sinova Judina sina Peresa.
5 Among the Shelanites were Asaiah, the first-born, and his sons.	5 Od Šilonaca: Asaja, prvenac, sa svojim sinovima.
6 Among the Zerahites were Jeuel and six hundred and ninety of their brethren.	6 Od Zarehovih sinova: Jeuel i njegova braća, šest stotina i devedeset.

8 Ibneiah, son of Jeroham; Elah, son of Uzzi, son of Michri; Meshullam, son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah.	8 Ibneja, Jerohamov sin, i Ela, sin Uzije, Mokrijeva sina, i Mešulam, sin Šefatje, sina Reuela, Ibnijina sina.
9 Their kindred of various families were nine hundred and fifty-six. All those named were heads of their ancestral houses.	9 Imali su po svojim rodovima devet stotina pedeset i šestero braće. Svi su oni bili glavari, svaki svoga roda.
10 Among the priests were Jedaiah; Jehoiarib; Jachin;	10 Od svećenika: Jedaja, Jojarib i Jakin,
11 Azariah, son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;	11 Azarja, sin Hilkije, sina Mešulama, sina Sadoka, sina Merajota, Ahitubova sina, predstojnik doma Božjeg.
12 Adaiah, son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah; Maasai, son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer.	12 Adaja, sin Jerohama, sina Pašhura, Malkijina sina, Masaj, sin Adiela, sina Jahzere, sina Mešulama, sina Mešilemita, Imerova sina.
13 Their brethren, heads of their ancestral houses, were one thousand seven hundred and sixty, valiant for the work of the service of the house of God.	13 Njihove braće, glava obitelji, boraca što su obavljali službu u domu Božjem, bilo je tisuću sedam stotina i šezdeset.
14 Among the Levites were Shemaiah, son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, one of the descendants of Merari;	14 Od levita Šemaja, sin Hašuba, sin Azrikama, Hašabjina sina, između Merarijevih sinova;
15 Bakbakkar; Heresh; Galal; Mattaniah, son of Mica, son of Zichri, a descendant of Asaph;	15 Bakbakar, Hereš, Galal i Matanija, sin Mike, sina Zikrija, Asafova sina;
16 Obadiah, son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, a descendant of Jeduthun; and Berechiah, son of Asa, son of Elkanah, whose family lived in the villages of the Netophathites.	16 Obadja, sin Šemaje, sina Galala, Jedutunova sina, i Berekja, sin Ase, Elkanina sina, koji je živio u Netofatskim selima.

19 Shallum, son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, a descendant of Korah, and his brethren of the same ancestral house of the Korahites had as their assigned task the guarding of the threshold of the tent, just as their fathers had guarded the entrance to the encampment of the LORD.	19 Šalum, sin Korea, sina Abjasafa, Korahova sina, sa svojom braćom Korahovcima iz njihove obitelji, bili su odgovorni za bogoslužje; oni su čuvali pragove Šatora, dok su njihovi oci čuvali ulaz u Jahvin tabor.
20 Phinehas, son of Eleazar, had been their chief in times past--the LORD be with him!	20 Eleazarov sin Pinhas bio je predstojnik nad njima nekada (Jahve bio s njim!).
21 Zechariah, son of Meshelemiah, guarded the gate of the meeting tent.	21 Mešelemjin sin Zaharija bio je vratar na vratima Šatora sastanka.
22 In all, those who were chosen for gatekeepers at the threshold were two hundred and twelve. They were inscribed in the family records of their villages. David and Samuel the seer had established them in their position of trust.	22 Svih izabranih vratara pragova bilo je dvjesta i dvanaest. Bili su upisani u rodovnike u svojim selima. 24 The gatekeepers were stationed at the four sides, to the east, the west, the north, and the south.	24 Vratari su stajali na četiri strane: na istoku, na zapadu, na sjeveru i na jugu.
25 Their kinsmen who lived in their own villages took turns in assisting them for seven-day periods,	25 Njihova braća po selima dolazila su od vremena do vremena da im se pridruže po sedam dana.
26 while the four chief gatekeepers were on constant duty. These were the Levites who also had charge of the chambers and treasures of the house of God.	26 Samo su četiri vratarska predstojnika bila neprestano u službi. Bili su leviti, postavljeni nad sobama i nad riznicama Božjega doma.
27 At night they lodged about the house of God, for it was in their charge and they had the duty of opening it each morning.	27 Noćivali su oko Božjega doma jer im je bila dužnost da stražare i da otključavaju svako jutro.
28 Some of them had charge of the liturgical equipment, tallying it as it was brought in and taken out.	28 Neki su od njih bili odgovorni za bogoslužno posuđe. Prebrojavali su ga kad bi ga unosili i kad bi ga iznosili.

35 In Gibeon dwelt Jeiel, the founder of Gibeon, whose wife's name was Maacah.	35 U Gibeonu su živjeli: Gibeonov otac Jeiel, čijoj je ženi bilo ime Maaka.
36 His first-born son was Abdon; then came Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,	36 Sin mu je prvenac bio Abdon, pa Sur, Kiš, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.	37 Gedor, Ahjo, Zaharija i Miklot.
38 Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. These, too, with their brethren, dwelt opposite their brethren in Jerusalem.	38 Miklot rodi Šimeama. I oni su živjeli u Jeruzalemu, naprama svojoj braći.
39 Ner became the father of Kish, and Kish became the father of Saul. Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	39 Ner rodi Kiša; a Kiš rodi Šaula; Šaul rodi Jonatana, Malki-Šuu, Abinadaba i Ešbaala.

43 Moza became the father of Binea, whose son was Rephaiah, whose son was Eleasah, whose son was Azel.	43 Mosa rodi Binu; njegov je sin bio Rafaja, njegov sin Elasa, njegov sin Asel.
44 Azel had six sons, whose names were Azrikam, his first-born, Ishmael, Sheariah, Azariah, Obadiah, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azel.	44 Asel je imao šest sinova, kojima su imena: Azrikam, Bokru, Jišmael, Šearja, Obadja i Hanan; to su Aselovi sinovi.
