1 Salmo, e cantico dello stesso Davidde. Sorga il Signore, e siano dispersi i suoi nemici: e fuggano dal cospetto di lui color, che lo odiano.	1 Unto the end. A Canticle Psalm of David himself.
2 Svaniscano come svanisce il fumo: come si fonde la cera al fuoco, cosi periscano i peccatori dinanzi alla faccia di Dio.	2 May God rise up, and may his enemies be scattered, and may those who hate him flee from before his face.
3 E i giusti banchettino, e giubilino alla presenza di Dio: e godano nell'allegrezza.	3 Just as smoke vanishes, so may they vanish. Just as wax flows away before the face of fire, so may sinners pass away before the face of God.
4 Lodate Dio: intonate salmi al nome di lui: preparate la strada a colui, che sale sopra l'occaso: ei si noma il Signore.	4 And so, let the just feast, and let them exult in the sight of God and be delighted in gladness.
5 Esultate davanti a lui: (i nemici) resteranno sbigottiti alla presenza di lui, Padre degli orfani, e Giudice delle vedove.	5 Sing to God, sing a psalm to his name. Make a path for him, who ascends over the west. The Lord is his name. Exult in his sight; they will be stirred up before his face,
6 Dio sta nel suo luogo santo: Dio fa abitare nella sua casa uomini di un sol rito:	6 the father of orphans and the judge of widows. God is in his holy place.
7 Egli con sua fortezza pone in libertà i prigionieri, e quegli ancora, che lo irritano, che abitano ne' sepolcri.	7 It is God who makes men dwell in a house under one custom. He leads out those who are strongly bound, and similarly, those who exasperate, who dwell in sepulchers.
8 Allorché tu, o Dio, andavi innanzi al tuo popolo, quando passavi pel deserto:	8 O God, when you departed in the sight of your people, when you passed through the desert,
9 La terra si scosse, ed anche i cieli si liquefecero al cospetto del Dio del Sinai, del Dio d'Israele.	9 the earth was moved, for the heavens rained down before the face of the God of Sinai, before the face of the God of Israel.
10 Una pioggia liberale terrai tu a parte, o Dio, per la tua eredità: e se questa è stata afflitta, tu però la hai ricreata.	10 You will set aside for your inheritance, O God, a willing rain. And though it was weak, truly, you have made it perfect.
11 In essa i tuoi animali soggiorneranno: nella tua bontà hai preparato al povero il nutrimento.	11 Your animals will dwell in it. O God, in your sweetness, you have provided for the poor.
12 Il Signore darà la parola a coloro, che annunziano con virtù grande la buona novella.	12 The Lord will give the word to evangelizers, along with great virtue.
13 I re potenti saran del diletto, del dilettissimo: e gloria della casa sarà il divider le spoglie.	13 The King of virtue is beloved among the beloved. And the beauty of the house will divide spoils.
14 Quando voi dormiste in mezzo a' pericoli, sarete come colombe di piume argentine, delle quali l'estremità del dorso ha il pallore dell'oro.	14 If you take your rest in the midst of the clergy, you will be like a dove whose wings are covered with fine silver and edged with pale gold.
15 Mentre il Re del cielo fa giudizio dei re della terra, diverranno bianchi più della neve, che e sul Selmon: il monte di Dio è fertile monte:	15 When heaven discerns kings to be over her, they will be whitened with the snows of Zalmon.
16 Monte grasso, monte pingue. Ma perché pensate voi a monti feraci?	16 The mountain of God is a fat mountain, a dense mountain, a thick mountain.
17 Egli è un monte, in cui si è compiaciuto Dio di abitare: perocché il Signore per sempre vi abiterà.	17 So then, why are you distrustful of dense mountains? The mountain on which God is well pleased to dwell, even there, the Lord will dwell until the end.
18 Egli è il cocchio di Dio circondato da molte diecine di migliaia, questa lieta gente è a migliaia: il Signore con essi e nel Sinai, e nel Santo.	18 The chariot of God is ten thousand fold: thousands rejoice. The Lord is with them in Sinai, in the holy place.
19 Ascendesti all'alto; prendesti teco i prigionieri, ricevesti doni per gli uomini: Onde anche sopra di quelli, che non credevano, abiti Iddio Signore.	19 You have ascended on high; you have taken captivity captive. You have accepted gifts among men. For even those who do not believe dwell with the Lord God.
20 Benedetto il Signore per tutti i giorni: il Dio di nostra salute farà prospero il nostro viaggio.	20 Blessed is the Lord, day after day. The God of our salvation will make our journey prosper for us.
21 Dio di salvazione egli è il Dio nostro; e il Signore, il Signore è quegli, che scampa da morte.	21 Our God is the God who will bring about our salvation, and our Lord is the Lord who has brought an end to death.
22 Ma Dio spezzerà le teste de' suoi pernici: le teste ben chiomate di coloro, che camminano ne' loro delitti.	22 So then, truly, God will break the heads of his enemies, the hairy skull of those who wander around in their offenses.
23 Il Signore ha detto: Gli uomini di Basan, caccerò io in fuga: li caccerò nel profondo del mare:	23 The Lord said: I will turn them away from Bashan, I will turn them into the depths of the sea,
24 Di modo che del sangue de' nemici il tuo piede si tinga: e del medesimo le lingue de' cani tuoi.	24 so that your feet may be soaked in the blood of your enemies, so that the tongue of your dogs may be soaked with the same.
25 Han veduto, o Dio, i tuoi passi; i passi del mio Dio, del mio Re, che sta nel santuario.	25 O God, they have seen your arrival, the arrival of my God, of my king who is in a holy place.
26 Precedettero i principi uniti a' cantori, in mezzo alle fanciulle, che sonavano i timpani.	26 The leaders went ahead, united with the singers of psalms, in the midst of girls playing on timbrels.
27 Benedite nelle adunanze Iddio Signore voi, che derivate da Israele.	27 In the churches, bless the Lord God from the fountains of Israel.
28 Ivi il piccolo Beniamino rapito fuori di se. I capi di Giuda loro condottieri, i capi di Zabulon, i capi di Nephtali.	28 In that place, Benjamin is a youth in ecstasy of mind. The leaders of Judah are their governors: the leaders of Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali.
29 Spedisci, o Dio, la tua potenza: conferma quello, che in noi hai operato.	29 Command by your virtue, O God. Confirm in this place, O God, what you have wrought in us.
30 Dal tempio tuo di Gerusalemme, a te offeriranno doni i regi.	30 Before your temple in Jerusalem, kings will offer gifts to you.
31 Minaccia le fiere, che stan pe' canneti, l'adunanza de' popoli, che è come di tori tralle mandre di vacche: per cacciar fuori coloro, che sono provati come l'argento.	31 Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, a congregation of bulls with the cows of the people, for they seek to exclude those who have been tested like silver. Scatter the nations that are pleased by wars.
32 Dissipa le nazioni, che aman la guerra: verranno ambasciadori dall'Egitto: l'Etiopia stenderà per tempo a Dio le sue mani.	32 Ambassadors will come out of Egypt. Ethiopia will offer in advance her hands to God.
33 Regni della terra cantate laudi a Dio: cantate salmi al Signore:	33 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth. Sing psalms to the Lord. Sing psalms to God.
34 Cantate salmi a Dio: il quale è salito al sommo cielo dalla parte dell'Oriente.	34 He ascends, up to the heaven of the heavens, toward the east. Behold, he will utter his voice, the voice of virtue.
35 Ecco che egli la sua voce farà voce di virtù: date gloria a Dio a cagione d'Israele. La sua magnificenza, e la sua potenza va fino alle nubi.	35 Give glory to God beyond Israel. His magnificence and his virtue is in the clouds.
36 Mirabile Dio ne' suoi santi: il Dio d'Israele, egli stesso darà virtù, e fortezza al suo popolo. Benedetto Dio.	36 God is wonderful in his saints. The God of Israel himself will give virtue and strength to his people. Blessed is God.
