John 17

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:	1 Ainsi parla Jésus, et levant les yeux au ciel, il dit: "Père, l'heure est venue: glorifie ton Fils, afin queton Fils te glorifie
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.	2 et que, selon le pouvoir que tu lui as donné sur toute chair, il donne la vie éternelle à tous ceux que tului as donnés!
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.	3 Or, la vie éternelle, c'est qu'ils te connaissent, toi, le seul véritable Dieu, et celui que tu as envoyé,Jésus-Christ.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.	4 Je t'ai glorifié sur la terre, en menant à bonne fin l'oeuvre que tu m'as donné de faire.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.	5 Et maintenant, Père, glorifie-moi auprès de toi de la gloire que j'avais auprès de toi, avant que fût lemonde.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.	6 J'ai manifesté ton nom aux hommes, que tu as tirés du monde pour me les donner. Ils étaient à toi et tume les as donnés et ils ont gardé ta parole.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.	7 Maintenant ils ont reconnu que tout ce que tu m'as donné vient de toi;
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.	8 car les paroles que tu m'as données, je les leur ai données, et ils les ont accueillies et ils ont vraimentreconnu que je suis sorti d'auprès de toi, et ils ont cru que tu m'as envoyé.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.	9 C'est pour eux que je prie; je ne prie pas pour le monde, mais pour ceux que tu m'as donnés, car ilssont à toi,
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.	10 et tout ce qui est à moi est à toi, et tout ce qui est à toi est à moi, et je suis glorifié en eux.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.	11 Je ne suis plus dans le monde; eux sont dans le monde, et moi, je viens vers toi. Père saint, garde-lesdans ton nom que tu m'as donné, pour qu'ils soient un comme nous.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.	12 Quand j'étais avec eux, je les gardais dans ton nom que tu m'as donné. J'ai veillé et aucun d'eux nes'est perdu, sauf le fils de perdition, afin que l'Ecriture fût accomplie.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.	13 Mais maintenant je viens vers toi et je parle ainsi dans le monde, afin qu'ils aient en eux-mêmes majoie complète.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.	14 Je leur ai donné ta parole et le monde les a haïs, parce qu'ils ne sont pas du monde, comme moi je nesuis pas du monde.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.	15 Je ne te prie pas de les enlever du monde, mais de les garder du Mauvais.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.	16 Ils ne sont pas du monde, comme moi je ne suis pas du monde.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.	17 Sanctifie-les dans la vérité: ta parole est vérité.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.	18 Comme tu m'as envoyé dans le monde, moi aussi, je les ai envoyés dans le monde.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.	19 Pour eux je me sanctifie moi-même, afin qu'ils soient, eux aussi, sanctifiés dans la vérité.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;	20 Je ne prie pas pour eux seulement, mais aussi pour ceux qui, grâce à leur parole, croiront en moi,
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.	21 afin que tous soient un. Comme toi, Père, tu es en moi et moi en toi, qu'eux aussi soient en nous, afinque le monde croie que tu m'as envoyé.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:	22 Je leur ai donné la gloire que tu m'as donnée, pour qu'ils soient un comme nous sommes un:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.	23 moi en eux et toi en moi, afin qu'ils soient parfaits dans l'unité, et que le monde reconnaisse que tum'as envoyé et que tu les as aimés comme tu m'as aimé.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.	24 Père, ceux que tu m'as donnés, je veux que là où je suis, eux aussi soient avec moi, afin qu'ilscontemplent ma gloire, que tu m'as donnée parce que tu m'as aimé avant la fondation du monde.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.	25 Père juste, le monde ne t'a pas connu, mais moi je t'ai connu et ceux-ci ont reconnu que tu m'asenvoyé.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.	26 Je leur ai fait connaître ton nom et je le leur ferai connaître, pour que l'amour dont tu m'as aimé soiten eux et moi en eux."
