Deuteronomy 22

1 Thou shalt not see the brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.	1 Se vedi un capo di bestiame minuto o di bestiame grosso di un tuo fratello che si erano smarriti, non tirarti indietro: riportali al tuo fratello.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.	2 Se tuo fratello non è tuo vicino e tu non lo conosci, raccogli l'animale in casa tua; starà con te finché tuo fratello non lo cerchi; allora glielo renderai.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.	3 Così farai per il suo asino, così farai per il suo mantello, così farai per ogni oggetto smarrito da tuo fratello e che tu hai ritrovato; non puoi disinteressartene.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.	4 Se vedi che l'asino o il bue di tuo fratello sono caduti sulla strada, non disinteressartene; assieme con lui cercherai di rialzarli.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.	5 Una donna non porterà indumento da uomo, né un uomo indosserà una veste da donna, perché chiunque fa queste cose è in abominio al Signore tuo Dio.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:	6 Se trovi un nido d'uccello davanti a te, per via, su un albero o per terra, con gli uccellini o con le uova, mentre la madre giace sugli uccellini o sulle uova, non prenderai la madre coi figli.
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.	7 Lascia andar via la madre e prenditi i figli, affinché tu sia felice e prolunghi i tuoi giorni.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.	8 Quando edificherai una casa nuova, farai un parapetto alla terrazza, così non porrai sangue sulla tua casa, se qualcuno cadrà giù.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.	9 Non seminerai nella tua vigna semi di due specie, affinché non diventi sacra tutta la produzione, la semente che tu hai seminato e il prodotto della vigna.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.	10 Non arerai con un bue e un asino insieme.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.	11 Non indosserai un tessuto composito, di lana e di lino insieme.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.	12 Ti farai delle frange ai quattro angoli del mantello con cui ti copri.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,	13 Se un uomo sposa una donna, va da lei e poi la prende in odio,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:	14 l'accusa di colpe e le fa una cattiva fama dicendo: "Ho sposato questa donna, mi sono avvicinato a lei, ma non le ho trovato i segni della verginità",
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:	15 il padre e la madre della giovane prenderanno i segni della verginità della giovane, li porteranno agli anziani alla porta della città,
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;	16 e il padre della giovane dirà agli anziani: "Ho dato mia figlia in sposa a quest'uomo, ma egli l'ha odiata,
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.	17 ed ecco l'accusa di colpe dicendo: 'Non ho trovato in tua figlia i segni della verginità'. Questi sono i segni della verginità di mia figlia", e stenderanno l'indumento davanti agli anziani della città.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;	18 Gli anziani di quella città prenderanno l'uomo, lo castigheranno,
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.	19 lo multeranno di cento sicli d'argento e li daranno al padre della giovane, perché quegli ha fatto una fama cattiva a una vergine d'Israele. Rimarrà sua moglie e non potrà ripudiarla mai più.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:	20 Ma se quel fatto è vero e i segni di verginità della giovane non si trovano,
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.	21 condurranno la giovane alla porta della casa di suo padre, e gli uomini della sua città la lapideranno e morirà, perché ha commesso un'infamia in Israele, profanando la casa di suo padre. Estirperai il male in mezzo a te.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.	22 Se un uomo viene trovato mentre giace con una donna sposata, moriranno tutti e due, l'uomo che giace con la donna e la donna. Estirperai il male da Israele.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;	23 Se una giovane vergine è fidanzata a un uomo, e un altro uomo la trova in città e giace con lei,
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.	24 li condurrete fuori tutti e due alla porta di quella città e li lapiderete; moriranno, la giovane perché non ha gridato nella città, l'uomo perché ha umiliato la donna del suo prossimo. Estirperai il male in mezzo a te.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:	25 Ma se l'uomo trova la giovane fidanzata in campagna, le fa violenza e giace con lei, morirà l'uomo che è giaciuto con lei,
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:	26 mentre non farai nulla alla giovane; per la giovane non c'è peccato meritevole di morte; è come quando un uomo sorge contro il suo prossimo e lo uccide, così in questo caso:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.	27 la giovane fidanzata, essendo stata trovata in campagna magari ha gridato, ma nessuno l'ha sentita.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;	28 Se un uomo trova una giovane vergine non fidanzata, la prende, giace con lei e sono trovati in flagrante,
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.	29 l'uomo che è giaciuto con lei darà al padre della giovane cinquanta sicli d'argento ed essa sarà sua moglie; poiché l'ha umiliata, non gli sarà mai lecito ripudiarla.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
