Deuteronomy 22

1 Thou shalt not see the brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.	1 - Se vedrai il bove o la pecora del tuo fratello errare smarrita, non tirerai di lungo, ma li ricondurrai al tuo fratello.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.	2 Anche se quel tuo fratello non ti sta vicino, e tu non lo conosci, riconduci gli animali a casa tua; staranno presso di te finchè il tuo fratello li richieda e li riprenda.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.	3 Lo stesso farai dell'asino, del vestito e d'ogni altra cosa perduta del tuo fratello; se la troverai, non te ne disinteressare [dicendo] che è roba d'altri.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.	4 Se vedrai che l'asino o il bove del tuo fratello son caduti in strada, non vi resterai indifferente, ma insieme a lui li rialzerai.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.	5 La donna non si vestirà da uomo, nè l'uomo da donna; perchè chi fa queste cose è in abominazione presso Dio.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:	6 Se camminando troverai per la via, su un albero o in terra, un nido d'uccelli, con la madre a covarvi i piccoli o le uova, non la prenderai insieme coi piccoli,
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.	7 ma la lascerai andar libera tenendo per te i piccoli, acciò bene te ne venga, e tu abbia lunga vita.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.	8 Quando fabbricherai una casa nuova, farai torno torno al tetto un riparo, acciò non si versi sangue in casa tua, e n'abbia tu la colpa, se uno sdrucciola e precipita di sotto.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.	9 Non seminerai nella tua vigna un'altra sementa; se no, tanto la sementa che hai seminato, quanto quel che nasce dalla vigna, saranno ugualmente riserbati al santuario.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.	10 Non arerai mettendo insieme un bove con un asino.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.	11 Non ti metterai un vestito che sia tessuto insieme di lana e di lino.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.	12 Ai quattro angoli del mantello col quale ti cuopri, metterai delle frange di cordoncini.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,	13 Se un uomo ha preso moglie, e poi gli è venuta in uggia,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:	14 e cercando i motivi per rimandarla, l'accusa d'una pessima azione, e dice: - Io la presi per moglie, ma accostandomi a lei non la trovai vergine; -
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:	15 il padre e la madre di lei la condurranno ai seniori della città, che siedono presso alla porta, e porteranno seco le prove della di lei verginità.
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;	16 Il padre dirà: - Io detti la figlia mia in moglie a costui; e siccome egli l'ha in odio,
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.	17 l'accusa di una pessima azione, e dice: "Io non ho trovato vergine la figlia tua"; ora, ecco qui i segni della verginità della figlia mia. - E spiegherà il lenzuolo davanti ai seniori della città.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;	18 Allora i seniori di quella città prenderanno quell'uomo, e lo frusteranno,
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.	19 condannandolo inoltre a dar cento sicli d'argento al padre della fanciulla, per aver diffamato con gravissima accusa una vergine d'Israele; la terrà per moglie, e non potrà più rimandarla insino che vive.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:	20 Ma se è vero quel ch'egli le oppone, e la fanciulla non fu trovata vergine,
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.	21 il popolo di quella città la caccerà fuori dalla casa del padre suo, e la lapiderà e la metterà a morte, poichè fece cosa nefanda in Israele, fornicando in casa del padre suo; e toglierai di mezzo a te questo scandalo.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.	22 Se un uomo peccherà con la moglie d'un altro, morranno ambedue, l'adultero cioè e l'adultera; toglierai da Israele un tal male.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;	23 Se una fanciulla vergine sarà promessa ad un uomo, ed un altro, trovatala entro la città, le avrà fatto violenza,
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.	24 li condurrai ambedue alla porta di quella città, e saranno lapidati; la fanciulla, perchè non gridò mentre era in città; l'uomo perchè violò la donna del prossimo suo; e toglierai di mezzo a te questo malanno.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:	25 Ma se quell'uomo trovò per la campagna la fanciulla promessa sposa, e la prese e le fece violenza, lui solo morrà;
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:	26 la fanciulla non verrà punita in alcun modo, nè è rea di morte. Perchè, come un ladrone si slancia su un suo fratello e l'uccide, così è accaduto a quella fanciulla;
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.	27 era sola alla campagna, gridò, ma non v'era nessuno per liberarla.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;	28 Se un uomo trova una fanciulla vergine non ancora promessa, e la prende e le fa violenza, e la cosa vien recata in giudizio,
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.	29 quegli che violò la fanciulla darà al padre di lei cinquanta sicli d'argento, la prenderà in moglie avendola disonorata, e non potrà repudiarla in tutto il tempo della sua vita.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.	30 Nessuno prenderà per sè la moglie del padre suo, nè scoprirà ciò ch'egli ricoprì.
