Deuteronomy 22

1 Thou shalt not see the brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.	1 Se vedrai il bue, o la pecora del tuo fratello smarriti, non tirerai avanti la tua strada, ma li ricondurrai al tuo fratello.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.	2 Benché questo fratello non sia tuo parente, e tu nol conosca, li menerai a casa tua, e li terrai presso di te, fino a tanto che il tuo fratello li ricerchi, e li riprenda.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.	3 Lo stesso farai di un asino, e d'una veste, e di qualunque cosa perduta dal tuo fratello: se la troverai, non la trascurare, perché sia cosa d'altri.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.	4 Se vedrai l'asino, o il bue del tuo fratello caduti per istrada, non metterai ciò in non cale, ma gli darai mano a rizzarli.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.	5 La donna non si vestirà da uomo, né l’uomo da donna: conciossiaché è in abbominazione a Dio chi fa tali cose.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:	6 Se facendo viaggio trovi in terra, o sopra un albero un nido di uccello, e la madre, che cova i pulcini, o le ova, non la prenderai insieme co’ figli:
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.	7 Ma la lascerai andare, tenendoti i figli presi, affinché tu sii prosperato, e viva per lungo tempo.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.	8 Quando edificherai una nuova casa, farai un muricciuolo intorno al tetto: affinché non segua spargimento di sangue in tua casa, e tu non sii reo della caduta, e del precipizio di un altro.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.	9 Non seminerai nella tua vigna due sorte di semenza, affinché e il seme gettato da te, e quello che nasce dalla vigna, non sia immondo tutto egualmente.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.	10 Non arerai con un bue, e un asino.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.	11 Non ti vestirai di veste tessuta di lino, e di lana.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.	12 Tu metterai a' quattro angoli del pallio, col quale ti cuopri, delle frange fatte di cordicelle.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,	13 Se un uomo avendo sposata una donna poscia la prende in odio,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:	14 E cerca pretesti per ripudiarla, e le rinfaccia un pessimo delitto dicendo: Ho preso per moglie costei, e accostatomi ad essa non la ho trovata vergine:
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:	15 La prenderanno seco il padre e la madre di lei, e porteranno seco le prove della sua verginità davanti a' seniori della città, che stanno alla porta:
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;	16 E il padre dirà: Ho data per moglie a costui la mia figlia: e perché egli la odia,
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.	17 Le imputa un delitto pessimo, arrivando a dire: Non ho trovata vergine la tua figliuola; or ecco le prove della verginità di mia figlia: spiegheranno il lenzuolo dinanzi a' seniori della città:
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;	18 E i seniori della città faranno prendere il marito, e lo faranno frustare,
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.	19 Condannandolo di più in cento sicli d’argento, i quali egli darà al padre della fanciulla, per avere infamato una vergine d'Israele: e l’avrà per sua moglie, e non potrà ripudiarla per tutto il tempo di sua vita.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:	20 Ma se quello ch'ei le rinfaccia, è verità, e la fanciulla non fu trovata vergine,
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.	21 La scacceranno fuori della porta della casa del padre suo, e gli abitanti di quella città la lapideranno, ed ella morrà: perché ha fatto cosa indegna in Israele, arrivando a peccare in casa del padre suo; e torrai di mezzo a te l’iniquità.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.	22 Se un uomo pecca colla moglie d'un altro, ambedue saran messi a morte, l’adultero, e l’adultera: e così torrai l'iniquità di mezzo a Israele.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;	23 Se un uomo ha contratti sponsali con una fanciulla vergine, e uno trovatala per la città pecca con essa,
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.	24 Condurrai l'uno, e l’altra fuori della porta della città, e saran lapidati: la fanciulla, perché non ha gridato trovandosi in città: l’uomo, perché ha disonorato la donna del suo prossimo: e tu leverai di mezzo a te l'iniquità,
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:	25 Ma se la fanciulla che ha fatto gli sponsali, fu trovata dall'uomo in campagna, e questi presala pecca con lei, egli solo sarà messo a morte:
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:	26 La fanciulla non ne patirà altra pena, né è rea di morte: perché come un assassino va alla vita del suo fratello, e l’uccide, così è avvenuto a lei:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.	27 Ella era sola in campagna: gridò, e non vi era chi la liberasse.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;	28 Se uno trova una fanciulla vergine, che non ha ancora sposo, e presala la disonora, portato l'affare in giudizio,
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.	29 Colui che l'ha disonorata, darà al padre della fanciulla cinquanta sicli d'argento, e l’avrà per sua moglie, perché l’ha violata: non potrà ripudiarla per tutto il tempo di sua vita.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
