Deuteronomy 22

1 Thou shalt not see the brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.	1 Du sollst nicht untätig zusehen, wie ein Stier oder ein Lamm deines Bruders sich verläuft. Du sollst dann nicht so tun, als gingen sie dich nichts an, sondern sie deinem Bruder zurückbringen.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.	2 Wenn dein Bruder nicht in der Nähe wohnt oder wenn du ihn nicht kennst, sollst du das Tier in deinen Stall tun und es soll dir zur Verfügung stehen, bis dein Bruder es sucht und du es ihm zurückgeben kannst.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.	3 Ebenso sollst du es mit einem Esel halten, ebenso mit einem Gewand, ebenso mit allem anderen, was dein Bruder verloren hat: was er verloren hat und was du findest. Du kannst gar nicht so tun, als ginge dich das nichts an.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.	4 Du sollst nicht untätig zusehen, wie ein Esel oder ein Ochse deines Bruders auf dem Weg zusammenbricht. Du sollst dann nicht so tun, als gingen sie dich nichts an, sondern ihm helfen, sie wieder aufzurichten.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.	5 Eine Frau soll nicht die Ausrüstung eines Mannes tragen und ein Mann soll kein Frauenkleid anziehen; denn jeder, der das tut, ist dem Herrn, deinem Gott, ein Gräuel.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:	6 Wenn du unterwegs auf einem Baum oder auf der Erde zufällig ein Vogelnest mit Jungen oder mit Eiern darin findest und die Mutter auf den Jungen oder auf den Eiern sitzt, sollst du die Mutter nicht zusammen mit den Jungen herausnehmen.
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.	7 Sondern du sollst die Mutter fliegen lassen und nur die Jungen nehmen, damit es dir gut geht und du lange lebst.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.	8 Wenn du ein neues Haus baust, sollst du um die Dachterrasse eine Brüstung ziehen. Du sollst nicht dadurch, dass jemand herunterfällt, Blutschuld auf dein Haus legen.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.	9 Du sollst in deinem Weinberg keine anderen Pflanzen anbauen, sonst verfällt das Ganze dem Heiligtum, sowohl was du zusätzlich angebaut hast als auch was der Weinberg trägt.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.	10 Du sollst nicht Ochse und Esel zusammen vor den Pflug spannen.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.	11 Du sollst für deine Kleidung kein Mischgewebe aus Wolle und Flachs verwenden.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.	12 Du sollst an den vier Zipfeln des Überwurfs, den du trägst, Quasten anbringen.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,	13 Wenn ein Mann eine Frau geheiratet und mit ihr Verkehr gehabt hat, sie aber später nicht mehr liebt
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:	14 und ihr Anrüchiges vorwirft, sie in Verruf bringt und behauptet: Diese Frau habe ich geheiratet, aber als ich mich ihr näherte, entdeckte ich, dass sie nicht mehr unberührt war!,
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:	15 wenn Vater und Mutter des Mädchens dann das Beweisstück ihrer Unberührtheit holen und zu den Ältesten der Stadt ans Tor bringen
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;	16 und der Vater des Mädchens den Ältesten erklärt: Ich habe diesem Mann meine Tochter zur Frau gegeben, aber er liebt sie nicht mehr,
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.	17 ja er wirft ihr jetzt Anrüchiges vor, indem er sagt: Ich habe entdeckt, dass deine Tochter nicht mehr unberührt war!; aber hier ist das Beweisstück für die Unberührtheit meiner Tochter!, und wenn sie das Gewand (aus der Hochzeitsnacht) vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten,
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;	18 dann sollen die Ältesten dieser Stadt den Mann packen und züchtigen lassen.
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.	19 Sie sollen ihm eine Geldbuße von hundert Silberschekel auferlegen und sie dem Vater des Mädchens übergeben, weil der Mann eine unberührte Israelitin in Verruf gebracht hat. Sie soll seine Frau bleiben. Er darf sie niemals entlassen.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:	20 Wenn der Vorwurf aber zutrifft, wenn sich keine Beweisstücke für die Unberührtheit des Mädchens beibringen lassen,
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.	21 soll man das Mädchen hinausführen und vor die Tür ihres Vaterhauses bringen. Dann sollen die Männer ihrer Stadt sie steinigen und sie soll sterben; denn sie hat eine Schandtat in Israel begangen, indem sie in ihrem Vaterhaus Unzucht trieb. Du sollst das Böse aus deiner Mitte wegschaffen.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.	22 Wenn ein Mann dabei ertappt wird, wie er bei einer verheirateten Frau liegt, dann sollen beide sterben, der Mann, der bei der Frau gelegen hat, und die Frau. Du sollst das Böse aus Israel wegschaffen.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;	23 Wenn ein unberührtes Mädchen mit einem Mann verlobt ist und ein anderer Mann ihr in der Stadt begegnet und sich mit ihr hinlegt,
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.	24 dann sollt ihr beide zum Tor dieser Stadt führen. Ihr sollt sie steinigen und sie sollen sterben, das Mädchen, weil es in der Stadt nicht um Hilfe geschrien hat, und der Mann, weil er sich die Frau eines andern gefügig gemacht hat. Du sollst das Böse aus deiner Mitte wegschaffen.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:	25 Wenn der Mann dem verlobten Mädchen aber auf freiem Feld begegnet, sie fest hält und sich mit ihr hinlegt, dann soll nur der Mann sterben, der bei ihr gelegen hat,
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:	26 dem Mädchen aber sollst du nichts tun. Bei dem Mädchen handelt es sich nicht um ein Verbrechen, auf das der Tod steht; denn dieser Fall ist so zu beurteilen, wie wenn ein Mann einen andern überfällt und ihn tötet.
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.	27 Auf freiem Feld ist er ihr begegnet, das verlobte Mädchen mag um Hilfe geschrien haben, aber es ist kein Helfer da gewesen.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;	28 Wenn ein Mann einem unberührten Mädchen, das noch nicht verlobt ist, begegnet, sie packt und sich mit ihr hinlegt und sie ertappt werden,
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.	29 soll der Mann, der bei ihr gelegen hat, dem Vater des Mädchens fünfzig Silberschekel zahlen und sie soll seine Frau werden, weil er sie sich gefügig gemacht hat. Er darf sie niemals entlassen.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
