King James Bible Pattloch Bibel
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.1 Und er sagte zu ihnen: "Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Es sind einige unter denen, die hier stehen, die den Tod nicht kosten, bis sie das Gottesreich kommen sehen in Kraft."
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.2 Nach sechs Tagen nahm Jesus den Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes mit sich und führte sie hinauf auf einen hohen Berg, ganz für sich allein. Da wurde er vor ihnen verwandelt,
And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.3 sein Gewand wurde leuchtend weiß, wie kein Walker auf Erden es so weiß zu machen vermag.
And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.4 Und es erschien ihnen Elias zusammen mit Moses, und sie redeten mit Jesus.
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.5 Da nahm Petrus das Wort und sagte zu Jesus: "Meister, es ist gut, daß wir hier sind; wir wollen drei Hütten bauen, dir eine, dem Moses eine und dem Elias eine."
For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.6 Er wußte nämlich nicht, was er sagen sollte; sie waren ja ganz erschreckt.
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.7 Da kam eine Wolke, die sie überschattete, und aus der Wolke kam eine Stimme: "Dieser ist mein geliebter Sohn; auf ihn sollt ihr hören!"
And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.8 Als sie gleich darauf sich umblickten, sahen sie niemand mehr bei sich als Jesus allein.
And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.9 Und da sie herabstiegen vom Berge, mahnte er sie eindringlich, sie sollten niemand erzählen, was sie gesehen hatten, bis der Menschensohn von den Toten auferstanden sei.
And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.10 Sie griffen das Wort auf und redeten miteinander darüber, was das heiße: "Von den Toten auferstehen."
And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?11 Und sie fragten ihn: "Warum sagen denn die Schriftgelehrten, Elias müsse zuerst kommen?"
And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.12 Er antwortete ihnen: "Elias kommt wohl zuerst, um alles wiederherzustellen. Wie aber steht vom Menschensohn geschrieben? Er werde viel leiden müssen und verachtet werden.
But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.13 Nun denn, ich sage euch: Ja, Elias ist gekommen, doch sie haben mit ihm gemacht, was sie wollten, wie geschrieben steht im Hinblick auf ihn."
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.14 Als sie zu den Jüngern kamen, sahen sie viel Volk um sie herum sowie auch Schriftgelehrte, die im Streite waren mit ihnen.
And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.15 Sogleich geriet das ganze Volk, als es ihn sah, in große Erregung; sie liefen hinzu und begrüßten ihn.
And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?16 Er aber fragte sie: "Was streitet ihr mit ihnen?"
And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;17 Da erwiderte ihm einer aus dem Volke: "Meister, ich habe meinen Sohn zu dir gebracht, der ist besessen von einem stummen Geist.
And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.18 Wenn der ihn irgendwo überfällt, zerrt er ihn hin und her, dann schäumt er, knirscht mit den Zähnen und fällt in Erstarrung. Ich sagte zu deinen Jüngern, sie möchten ihn austreiben; doch sie vermochten es nicht."
He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.19 Er aber wandte sich an sie und sprach: "O du ungläubiges Geschlecht! Wie lange noch soll ich bei euch sein? Wie lange noch euch ertragen? Bringt ihn her zu mir!"
And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.20 Und sie brachten ihn zu ihm. Sogleich bei seinem Anblick schüttelte ihn der Geist; er fiel auf die Erde, wälzte sich und schäumte.
And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.21 Da fragte er seinen Vater: "Wie lange ist es her, daß ihm dies widerfahren ist?" Der sagte: "Von Kindheit an.
And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.22 Oft schon warf er ihn ins Feuer und ins Wasser, um ihn umzubringen. Wenn du etwas vermagst, so habe Erbarmen mit uns und hilf uns!"
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.23 Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Wenn du etwas vermagst? Alles ist möglich dem, der glaubt."
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.24 Sogleich stöhnte der Vater des Knaben laut auf und rief: "Ich glaube; hilf meinem Unglauben!"
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.25 Da Jesus sah, daß das Volk zusammenlief, schalt er den unreinen Geist und sprach zu ihm: "Du stummer und tauber Geist, ich gebiete dir, fahre von ihm aus und komme nicht mehr zurück zu ihm!"
And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.26 Unter lautem Geschrei und heftigen Zuckungen fuhr er aus, und der Knabe war wie tot, so daß die Leute sagten, er sei gestorben.
But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.27 Jesus aber faßte ihn bei der Hand und richtete ihn auf, und er stand auf.
And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?28 Als er nach Hause kam, fragten ihn seine Jünger, als sie unter sich waren: "Warum vermochten wir nicht, ihn auszutreiben?"
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.29 Er antwortete ihnen: "Diese Art kann durch nichts ausgetrieben werden als durch Gebet [und Fasten]."
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.30 Sie zogen von da weiter und wanderten durch Galiläa; doch wollte er nicht, daß es jemand erfahre.
For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.31 Denn er unterwies seine Jünger und sprach zu ihnen: "Der Menschensohn wird überliefert in die Hände von Menschen, und sie werden ihn töten; aber drei Tage nach seinem Tod wird er auferstehen."
But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.32 Sie aber begriffen das Wort nicht, scheuten sich jedoch, ihn zu fragen.
And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?33 Sie kamen nach Kapharnaum, und als er zu Hause war, fragte er sie: "Worüber habt ihr unterwegs gesprochen?"
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.34 Sie aber schwiegen; denn sie hatten unterwegs miteinander darüber gesprochen, wer der Größte sei.
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.35 Da setzte er sich nieder, rief die Zwölf und sprach zu ihnen: "Will einer Erster sein, so sei er Letzter von allen und aller Diener!"
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,36 Und er nahm ein Kind, stellte es mitten unter sie, schloß es in seine Arme und sprach zu ihnen:
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.37 "Wer eines von solchen Kindern aufnimmt in meinem Namen, der nimmt mich auf, und wer mich aufnimmt, der nimmt nicht mich auf, sondern den, der mich gesandt hat."
And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.38 Da sagte zu ihm Johannes: "Meister, wir sahen einen, der in deinem Namen Dämonen austrieb, einen, der sich uns nicht anschließt, und wir verwehrten es ihm, weil er sich uns nicht anschließt."
But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.39 Jesus sprach: "Verwehrt es ihm nicht, denn keinen gibt es, der Machtvolles wirkt in meinem Namen und gleich darauf Böses sagen könnte wider mich.
For he that is not against us is on our part.40 Denn wer nicht gegen uns ist, der ist für uns.
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.41 Wer euch einen Becher Wasser zu trinken gibt, daraufhin, daß ihr zu Christus gehört, wahrlich, ich sage euch, er wird um seinen Lohn nicht kommen.
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.42 Wer aber einem von diesen Kleinen, die [an mich] glauben, Ärgernis gibt, für den wäre es besser, wenn ein Mühlstein um seinen Hals gelegt und er hinabgeworfen würde ins Meer.
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:43 Wenn deine Hand dir zum Ärgernis wird, so haue sie ab; es ist besser für dich, verstümmelt einzugehen ins [ewige] Leben, als mit zwei Händen hinabzufahren in die Hölle, in das nie erlöschende Feuer
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.44 [, wo ihr Wurm nicht stirbt und das Feuer nicht erlischt].
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:45 Und wenn dein Fuß dir zum Ärgernis wird, so haue ihn ab; es ist besser für dich, hinkend einzugehen ins [ewige] Leben, als mit zwei Füßen hinabgeworfen zu werden in die Hölle [, in das nie erlöschende Feuer,
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.46 wo ihr Wurm nicht stirbt und das Feuer nicht erlischt].
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:47 Und wenn dein Auge dir zum Ärgernis wird, so reiß es aus; es ist besser für dich, einäugig einzugehen in das Reich Gottes, als mit zwei Augen hinabgeworfen zu werden in die Hölle,
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.48 wo "ihr Wurm nicht stirbt und das Feuer nicht erlischt" (Is 66,24).
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.49 Denn ein jeder wird mit Feuer gesalzen werden [, und jedes Opfer wird mit Salz gesalzen werden].
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.50 Wertvoll ist das Salz; wenn aber das Salz salzlos wird, womit werdet ihr es würzen? Habt Salz in euch und habt Frieden untereinander!"
