1 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.	1 Ci mette in viaggio colui, che sotto i gli occhi tuoi devasterà, e stringerà l'assedio: osserva tu i suoi movimenti, rinforza i tuoi fianchi, accresci grandemente le tue forze.
2 For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.	2 Perchè il Signore farà vendetta della superbia contro Giacobbe, come della superbia contro Israele; perocché questi distruttori li spersero, e guastaron le loro propagini.
3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.	3 Le rotelle de' suoi campioni gettano fiamme, i suoi soldati hanno vesti di porpora: le redini de' cocchi sono fiammanti nel giorno, in cui ella si mette in ordine (per la battaglia), e i loro cocchieri sono addormentati.
4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.	4 Si scompigliano per istrada: i loro cocchi s'infrangono nelle piazze: i loro occhi son come accese faci, come folgori, che strisciano.
5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make hast to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.	5 Ella farà rassegna de' suoi bravi; si urteranno per le strade; correranno in fretta alle mura, e si prepareranno da stare al coperto.
6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.	6 Le porte de' fiumi sono spalancate, e il tempio è atterrato sino ai fondamenti.
7 And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.	7 E i suoi soldati sono menati via prigionieri, e le donne condotte schiave, gemono come colombe, e si querelano in cuor loro.
8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.	8 E Ninive colle sue acque è come un padule: quelli sono fuggiti fermatevi, fermatevi ma nissuno si volge indietro.
9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.	9 Saccheggiate l'argento, saccheggiate l'oro: la ricchezza de' suoi preziosi vasi è senza fine.
10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.	10 Ella è devastata, e squarciata e lacerata: cuor languente, ginocchia tremanti, fianchi spossati, facce di tutta la gente abbronzate come una pignatta.
11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?	11 Dov' è la tana de' leoni, e i paschi de' lioncelli, dove andava a riporsi illione, e i suoi lioncini, senza aver chi li disturbasse?
12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.	12 Quel lione, fatta preda sufficiente pe' suoi lioncini, fece strage per le sue lionesse; e di uccisi animali empiè la sua tana, e il suo covile di rapine.
13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.	13 Eccomi a te, dice il Signore degli eserciti: Io darò fuoco a' tuoi cocchi, e ridurrolli in fumo; e i tuoi lioncini saran divorati dalla spada, e torrò dalla terra le tue rapine: e non si udirà mai più la voce de' tuoi ambasciadori.
