Ezekiel 18

KING JAMES BIBLE	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?	2 "Perché andate ripetendo questo detto contro la casa d'Israele: "I padri mangiano l'uva acerba e si guastano i denti dei figli"?
3 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.	3 Per la mia vita, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, nessuno dica più questo detto in Israele.
4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.	4 Ecco, a me appartiene la vita di tutti; quella del padre come quella del figlio mi appartengono: colui che pecca, egli solo deve morire.
5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,	5 Se uno è giusto e osserva le norme e la giustizia,
6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,	6 non fa pasti sacri sui monti e non alza gli occhi verso gli idoli della casa d'Israele, non rende impura la moglie del prossimo e non s'avvicina alla donna immonda,
7 And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;	7 non opprime nessuno, restituisce il pegno, non commette nessuna rapina, dà il suo pane all'affamato e riveste chi è nudo,
8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,	8 non presta a interesse e non vuole percentuali, si astiene dal male, giudica secondo verità tra uomo e uomo,
9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.	9 segue i miei decreti e rispetta le mie norme, così da comportarsi rettamente, questi è giusto e di certo vivrà: oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
10 If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,	10 Ma se genera un figlio violento e sanguinario che commette di queste cose,
11 And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,	11 mentr'egli non ne commise nessuna, e cioè fa pasti sacri sui monti, rende impura la moglie del prossimo,
12 Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,	12 opprime il povero e il misero, commette rapina, non restituisce il pegno, alza gli occhi agli idoli, commette delle abominazioni,
13 Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.	13 presta a interesse e vuole la percentuale, di certo non vivrà; ha commesso tutte queste abominazioni: deve morire; il suo sangue ricade su di lui.
14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,	14 Ma se genera un figlio che ha visto tutti i peccati commessi da suo padre, ha visto e non agisce in quel modo:
15 That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour's wife,	15 non fa pasti sacri sui monti, non alza i suoi occhi verso gli idoli della casa d'Israele, non rende impura la moglie del prossimo,
16 Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,	16 non opprime nessuno, non pignora nessuno, non commette rapine, dà il suo pane all'affamato e riveste chi è nudo,
17 That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.	17 trattiene la sua mano dal male, non vuole interessi e percentuali, osserva le mie norme e segue i miei decreti, questi non morrà per la colpa di suo padre: di certo vivrà.
18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.	18 Suo padre, invece, ha compiuto oppressioni e rapine e ha fatto ciò che non è bene in mezzo al mio popolo, egli sì che muore nel suo peccato!
19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.	19 Voi dite: "Perché il figlio non porta l'iniquità del padre?". Perché il figlio ha osservato le norme e la giustizia, ha rispettato tutti i miei decreti e li ha eseguiti: per questo vivrà.
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.	20 La persona che pecca, quella deve morire; il figlio non porterà l'iniquità del padre e il padre non porterà l'iniquità del figlio! La giustizia del giusto rimane su di lui e l'empietà dell'empio rimane su di lui.
21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.	21 Se un empio si converte da tutti i peccati che ha commesso e rispetta tutte le mie norme e la giustizia, di certo vivrà; non morirà.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.	22 Nessuna delle ribellioni che ha compiuto gli sarà ricordata; vivrà per la giustizia che compie.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?	23 Forse mi compiaccio della morte dell'empio? Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore. Convertendosi dalla sua condotta, forse non vivrà?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.	24 E se il giusto si perverte e non è giusto e commette il male, commettendo tutte le abominazioni che ha compiuto l'empio, forse vivrà? Tutta la giustizia che ha compiuto non sarà ricordata; per l'infedeltà che ha commesso e per i peccati che ha fatto morirà.
25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?	25 Voi dite: "Non va bene la condotta del mio Signore". Uditemi bene, casa d'Israele: è la mia condotta che non va bene o non è forse la vostra che non va bene?
26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.	26 Se il giusto si perverte, non è più giusto, fa il male e per questo muore: deve pur morire per il male che ha commesso!
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.	27 Se invece l'empio si converte dall'empietà che ha commesso ed esegue le norme e la giustizia, egli salverà se stesso.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.	28 Ha deciso di convertirsi da tutte le ribellioni che ha commesso: di certo vivrà, non morirà.
29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?	29 Tuttavia la casa d'Israele dice: "Non va bene la condotta del Signore". E' la mia condotta che non va bene, o casa d'Israele, o è la vostra che non va bene?
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.	30 Perciò io giudicherò ciascuno di voi secondo la propria condotta, o casa d'Israele, oracolo del Signore Dio. Su, convertitevi da tutte le ribellioni e non siano più per voi una trappola al male!
31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?	31 Allontanatevi da tutte le ribellioni che avete commesso e formatevi un cuore nuovo e uno spirito nuovo. Perché mai, in tal caso, dovreste morire, o casa d'Israele?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.	32 Oh, non mi compiaccio certo della morte di alcuno, oracolo del Signore Dio. Convertitevi e vivrete".
