1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 E IL Signore parlommi, e disse:
2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,	2 Figliuolo dell'uomo, fa tu sapere a Gerusalemme le sue abbominazioni,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.	3 E dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio di Gerusalemme: La tua stirpe, e la tua origine è dalla terra di Chanaan. Tuo padre Amoneo, e Ja tua madre Cetea.
4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.	4 E allorché tu venisti alla luce, il dì della tua nascita non ti fu tagliato l'ombellico, né fosti lavata con acqua salutare, né aspersa di sale, né involta in fasce.
5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.	5 Né occhio d'uomo s'impietosì per te, onde alcuna di queste cose per compassione facesse a te, ma fosti gettata sul suolo con ispregio della tua vita il giorno, che tu nascesti.
6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.	6 Ma passando io vicino a te, ti vidi, imbrattata del proprio tuo sangue; ed io dissi a te quando nel tuo sangue eri involta, Vivi, ti dissi, o tu immersa nel sangue tuo, vivi.
7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.	7 Ti feci crescere come l'erba del campo, e crescesti, e ingrandisti, e avanzasti (negli anni), e giungesti al tempo degli abbigliamenti donneschi al tempo di pubertà, ma tu eri ignuda, e piena di confusione.
8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.	8 E passai vicino a te, e ti vidi, e quel tuo tempo, era il tempo degli amanti, ed io distesi sopra di te il mio pallio, e copersi la tua ignominia: e feci a te giuramento, ed un patto feci con te (dice il Signore Dio) e tu fosti
9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.	9 E ti lavai con acqua, e ti nettai dal tuo sangue, e ti unsi con olio.
10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.	10 E ti rivestii di abiti ricamati, e ti diedi calzari di color di giacinto, e cintura di bisso, e ti addobbai di finissimo manto.
11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.	11 E ti adornai con magnificenza, e misi i braccialetti alle tue mani, e collana al tuo collo.
12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.	12 E ornai la tua faccia di pendenti, e le orecchie cogli orecchini, e la tua testa colla corona.
13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.	13 E tu fosti abbellita d'oro, e d'argento, e vestita di bisso, e di abiti ricamati a molti colori: Ti fu dato a mangiare del fior di farina, il miele, e l'olio, e diventasti bella grandemente oltre modo, e arrivasti a regnare
14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.	14 E il tuo nome si sparse tralle nazioni a motivo di tua bellezza, perchè tu eri perfetta nella bellezza, che io stesso avea posta in te, dice il Signore Dio.
15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.	15 E superba di tua bellezza, ti disonorasti quasi padrona di te, ed esponesti la tua disonestà ad ogni passaggiero per darti a lui.
16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.	16 E prese le tue vestimenta, ne lavorasti ornamenti pe' luoghi eccelsi, dove tu talmente peccasti, che cosa simile mai non fu, né sarà.
17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,	17 E presi gli ornamenti di tua gloria fatti col mio oro, e col mio argento, i quali avev' io dati a te, ne facesti immagini d'uomini, e con questi hai peccato.
18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.	18 E le tue vestimenta a molti colori impiegasti a coprire le immagini, e il mio olio, e il mio timiama ponesti davanti ad esse.
19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.	19 E il mio pane, che io diedi a te, e il fior di farina, e l'olio, e il miele, ond'io ti nutriva, lo presentasti al loro cospetto in obblazione di odor soave: e cosi fu, dice il Signore Dio.
20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,	20 E prendesti i tuoi figli, e le tue figliuole, che tu avevi a me generate, e le immolasti ad essi, perchè il fuoco le divorasse. E ella leggera cosa la tua fornicazione!
21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?	21 Immolasti i miei figli, e gli do nasti agl' idoli, a' quali li consagrasti.
22 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.	22 E dopo tutte le abbominazioni, e fornicazioni tue non ti se' ricordata de' giorni di tua adolescenza, quando eri ignuda, e piena di confusione, e involta nel sangue tuo.
23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)	23 E avvenne, che dopo tanta tua malvagità (guai, guai a te, dice il Signore Dio)
24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.	24 Ti fabbricasti dei lupanari, e alzasti postriboli in tutte le piazze.
25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.	25 Ad ogni capo di strada tu ponesti il segno di tua prostituzione, e abbominabile rendesti la tua beltà, e ti abbandonasti a qualunque passaggiero, e moltiplicasti le tue fornicazioni.
26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.	26 E co' figli dell'Egitto peccasti, vicini tuoi di grosse membra, e aggiungesti fornicazione a fornicazione per irritarmi.
27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.	27 Ecco che io stenderò la mia mano sopra di te, e toglierò a te le cose tue sante, e ti abbandonerò al volere delle figlie della Palestina, le quali ti odiano, ed han rossore del tuo vivere scellerato.
28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.	28 Ma tu, non essendo ancor sazia, hai peccato co' figli degli Assirj; e neppur dopo tali fornicazioni se' stata contenta.
29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.	29 E moltiplicasti le tue fornicazioni nella terra di Chanaan con i Caldei, e neppur con questo se' stata sazia.
30 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;	30 In qual modo purificherò io il tuo cuore, dice il Signore Dio, mentre queste opre tutte tu fai proprie di donna peccatrice, e sfacciata?
31 In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;	31 Perocché tu edificasti i tuoi postriboli a tutti i capi di strade, e in ogni piazza ti facesti un luogo eccelso, ne se stata come una meretrice, la quale colla schifiltà si fa accrescere il prezzo,
32 But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!	32 Ma come una adultera, che invece del proprio marito adesca stranieri.
33 They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.	33 Alle altre meretrici si dà mercede, ma tu l'hai data a tutti i tuoi amatori, e facevi loro dei donativi, perchè da ogni parte a te venissero, per teco peccare.
34 And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.	34 Ed è avvenuto in te il contrario di quel, che costumasi colle donne di mala vita, e non sarà dopo di te simil fornicazione; perocché nell'aver tu dato mercede, e nel non aver ricevuta mercede, è avvenuto in te il rovescio.
35 Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:	35 Per questo, o donna peccatrice, ascolta la parola del Signore.
36 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;	36 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Perchè tu hai gittato il tuo denaro, ed hai renduta pubblica la tua ignominia nelle tue fornicazioni co' tuoi amatori; e nelle abbominazioni de' tuoi simulacri colla strage de' tuoi figliuoli, che ad essi offeristi;
37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.	37 Ecco che io ragunerò tutti i tuoi amatori, co' quali, hai peccato, e tutti quelli, che tu amavi, e tutti quelli, che tu avevi in odio, e li ragunerò contro di te da tutte parti, ed avanti ad essi manifesterò la tua ignominia, ed ei vedranno tutte le tue turpitudini.
38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.	38 E farò giudizio di te come di adultera, e come di sanguinaria; e ti punirò con vendetta di furore, e di gelosia.
39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.	39 E ti darò in balia di coloro, ed ei distruggeranno il tuo lupanare, e rumeranno il tuo postribolo, e ti spoglieranno delle tue vestimenta, e porteranno via tutto quello, onde tu eri bella, e ti lasceranno ignuda, e piena d'ignominia:
40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.	40 E rauneran contro di te la moltitudine, e ti lapideranno senza pietà, e ti trafiggeranno colle loro spade.
41 And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.	41 E le tue case daranno alle fiamme, e faran giudizio di te alla presenza di moltissime donne, e tu finirai di fornicare, e non pagherai più mercede.
42 So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.	42 E avrà posa l'indegnazione mia verso di te, e la gelosia, che io aveva per te, passerà, e starò in quiete, nel più mi adirerò.
43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.	43 Perchè tu non ti se' ricordata de' giorni di tua adolescenza, e con queste cose tutte mi hai provocato; per questo io pure sul tuo capo ho fatto cader le opre tue, dice il Signore Dio, e non ti ho trattata secondo le tue scelleratezze nel tempo di tutte le tue abbominazioni.
44 Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.	44 Ecco che chiunque ama i proverbi, ripeterà questo sopra di te, dicendo: Quale la madre, tale la figlia di lei.
45 Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.	45 Veramente se' tu figlia di tua madre, che abbandonò il suo marito, e i suoi figliuoli; e sorella se' tu delle tue sorelle, che rigettarono i lor mariti, e i loro figli: la madre vostra Cetea, e il padre vostro Amorreo.
46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.	46 E tua sorella maggiore ell'è Samaria, e le figlie di lei, che abitano alla tua sinistra: e la tua minor sorella, che abita alla tua destra, ell'è Sodoma, e le figliuole di lei.
47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.	47 Ma né tu ti tenesti un po' indietro nel battere le loro vie, e nell'imitare le loro scelleratezze: quasi più scellerate cose facesti, che quelle in tutti i tuoi andamenti.
48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.	48 Io giuro, dice il Signore Dio, che non fece Sodoma tua sorella, ella, e le figlie di lei quel che hai fatto tu, e le tue figliuole.
49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.	49 Ecco qual fu l'iniquità di Sodoma tua sorella; la superbia, e i bagordi, e il lusso, e l'oziosità di lei, e delle sue figlie: e al povero, ed al bisognoso non istendevan la mano.
50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.	50 E si levaron in arroganza, e fecero abbominazioni dinanzi a me, ed io le annichilai come tu vedesti.
51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.	51 E Samaria non fece la metà de' peccati, che facesti tu: e tu le sorpassasti colle tue scelleraggini, e facesti apparir giuste le tue sorelle con tutte quelle abbominazioni, che tu commettesti.
52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.	52 Porta adunque la tua confusione anche tu, che hai nel peccar superate le tue sorelle, facendo peggio di loro; perocché a paragone dite elle son giuste. Anche tu adunque confonditi, e porta la tua ignominia, tu che giuste apparir facesti le tue sorelle.
53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:	53 Ma io le ristorerò, tornando in libertà Sodoma, e le sue figlie, e tornando in libertà Samaria, e le sue figlie, e i tuoi figli condotti in ischiavitù farò tornare insieme con esse,
54 That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.	54 Affinchè tu porti la tua ignominia, e ti confonda di tutto quello, che hai fatto, e sii di consolazione per esse,
55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.	55 E la sorella tua Sodoma, e le sue figlie torneranno al loro antico stato, e Samaria, e le sue figlie torneranno all'antico stato, e tu, e le tue figlie tornerete allo stato antico.
56 For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,	56 Nel tempo del tuo fasto non si udì mai ricordata da te la sorella tua Sodoma,
57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.	57 Prima che fosse scoperta la tua malizia, com' ell' è adesso, e tu fossi lo scherno delle figlie di Siria, e di tutte quante le figlie di Palestina, che hai all'intorno, e ti cingono d'ogni lato:
58 Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.	58 Tu hai portata la tua scelleratezza, e la tua ignominia, dice il Signore Dio.
59 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.	59 Perocché queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Io farò (così) a te, come tu hai disprezzato il giuramento, per vano rendere il patto:
60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.	60 Ma io mi ricorderò del patto, che feci teco ne' giorni di tua adolescenza, e ravviverò con te il patto sempiterno.
61 Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.	61 E ti ricorderai de' tuoi disordini, e ne avrai confusione, quando tu riceverai teco le tue sorelle maggiori di te insieme colle minori, ed io darolle a te in luogo di figlie, ma non in virtù del tuo patto.
62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:	62 E io ravviverò con te il mio patto, e conoscerai ch'io sono il Signore,
63 That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.	63 Affinchè ti ricordi, ed abbi confusione, e non ardisca di aprir bocca pella vergogna, allora quando io mi sarò placato con te dopo tutte le cose, che tu facesti, dice il Signore Dio.
