1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.	1 Der Herr ist König: Es zittern die Völker. Er thront auf den Kerubim: Es wankt die Erde.
2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.	2 Groß ist der Herr auf Zion, über alle Völker erhaben.
3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.	3 Preisen sollen sie deinen großen, majestätischen Namen. Denn er ist heilig.
4 The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.	4 Stark ist der König, er liebt das Recht. Du hast die Weltordnung fest begründet, hast Recht und Gerechtigkeit in Jakob geschaffen.
5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.	5 Rühmt den Herrn, unseren Gott; werft euch am Schemel seiner Füße nieder! Denn er ist heilig.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.	6 Mose und Aaron sind unter seinen Priestern, Samuel unter denen, die seinen Namen anrufen; sie riefen zum Herrn und er hat sie erhört.
7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.	7 Aus der Wolkensäule sprach er zu ihnen; seine Gebote hielten sie, die Satzung, die er ihnen gab.
8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.	8 Herr, unser Gott, du hast sie erhört; du warst ihnen ein verzeihender Gott, aber du hast ihre Frevel vergolten.
9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.	9 Rühmt den Herrn, unsern Gott, werft euch nieder an seinem heiligen Berge! Denn heilig ist der Herr, unser Gott.
