KING JAMES BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:1 A psalm of a canticle on the sabbath day.
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,2 It is good to give praise to the Lord: and to sing to thy name, O most High.
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.3 To shew forth thy mercy in the morning, and thy truth in the night:
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.4 Upon an instrument of ten strings, upon the psaltery: with a canticle upon the harp.
O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.5 For thou hast given me, O Lord, a delight in thy doings: and in the works of thy hands I shall rejoice.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.6 O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep.
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:7 The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things.
But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.8 When the wicked shall spring up as grass: and all the workers of iniquity shall appear: That they may perish for ever and ever:
For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.9 but thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore.
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.10 For behold thy enemies, O Lord, for behold thy enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.11 But my horn shall be exalted like that of the unicorn: and my old age in plentiful mercy.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.12 My eye also hath looked down upon my enemies: and my ear shall hear of the downfall of the malignant that rise up against me.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.13 The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;14 They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.
To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.15 They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated,
that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.
