Psalms 145

1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.	1 Praise. Of David. I will extol you, my God and king; I will bless your name forever.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.	2 Every day I will bless you; I will praise your name forever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.	3 Great is the LORD and worthy of high praise; God's grandeur is beyond understanding.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.	4 One generation praises your deeds to the next and proclaims your mighty works.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.	5 They speak of the splendor of your majestic glory, tell of your wonderful deeds.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.	6 They speak of your fearsome power and attest to your great deeds.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.	7 They publish the renown of your abounding goodness and joyfully sing of your justice.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.	8 The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in love.
9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.	9 The LORD is good to all, compassionate to every creature.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.	10 All your works give you thanks, O LORD and your faithful bless you.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;	11 They speak of the glory of your reign and tell of your great works,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.	12 Making known to all your power, the glorious splendor of your rule.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.	13 Your reign is a reign for all ages, your dominion for all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in every word, and faithful in every work.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.	14 The LORD supports all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.	15 The eyes of all look hopefully to you; you give them their food in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.	16 You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.	17 You, LORD, are just in all your ways, faithful in all your works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.	18 You, LORD, are near to all who call upon you, to all who call upon you in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.	19 You satisfy the desire of those who fear you; you hear their cry and save them.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.	20 You, LORD, watch over all who love you, but all the wicked you destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.	21 My mouth will speak your praises, LORD; all flesh will bless your holy name forever.
