Psalms 145

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.	1 Louange. De David. Je t'exalte, ô Roi mon Dieu, je bénis ton nom toujours et à jamais;
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.	2 je veux te bénir chaque jour, je louerai ton nom toujours et à jamais;
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.	3 grand est Yahvé et louable hautement, à sa grandeur point de mesure.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.	4 Un âge à l'autre vantera tes oeuvres, fera connaître tes prouesses.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.	5 Splendeur de gloire, ton renom! Je me répète le récit de tes merveilles.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.	6 On dira ta puissance de terreurs, et moi je raconterai ta grandeur;
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.	7 on fera mémoire de ton immense bonté, on acclamera ta justice.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.	8 Yahvé est tendresse et pitié, lent à la colère et plein d'amour;
9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.	9 il est bon, Yahvé, envers tous, et ses tendresses pour toutes ses oeuvres.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.	10 Que toutes tes oeuvres te rendent grâce, Yahvé, que tes amis te bénissent;
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;	11 qu'ils disent la gloire de ton règne, qu'ils parlent de ta prouesse,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.	12 pour faire savoir aux fils d'Adam tes prouesses, la splendeur de gloire de ton règne!
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.	13 Ton règne, un règne pour tous les siècles, ton empire, pour les âges des âges! Yahvé est vérité entoutes ses paroles, amour en toutes ses oeuvres;
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.	14 Yahvé retient tous ceux qui tombent, redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.	15 Tous ont les yeux sur toi, ils espèrent; tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps;
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.	16 toi, tu ouvres la main et rassasies tout vivant à plaisir.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.	17 Yahvé est justice en toutes ses voies, amour en toutes ses oeuvres;
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.	18 proche est Yahvé de ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent en vérité.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.	19 Le désir de ceux qui le craignent, il le fait, il entend leur cri et les sauve;
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.	20 Yahvé garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, tous les impies, il les détruira.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.	21 Que ma bouche dise la louange de Yahvé, que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, toujours et àjamais!
