Psalms 145

1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.	1 Louange. De David. Je veux t’exalter, mon Dieu et mon roi, je bénirai ton nom toujours et à jamais.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.	2 Chaque jour je te bénirai et je louerai ton nom, toujours et à jamais.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.	3 Le Seigneur est grand, très digne de louange, sa grandeur passe toute mesure.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.	4 Chaque âge conte au suivant tes œuvres, l’un à l’autre redit tes exploits.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.	5 Je veux chanter tes œuvres merveilleuses, et rehausser la gloire de ta louange,
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.	6 pour que l’on dise ta puissance en tes prodiges, et qu’on fasse le compte de tes grandeurs.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.	7 On fera mémoire de ta grande bonté, on acclamera ta justice.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.	8 Le Seigneur est tendresse et miséricorde, il tarde à s’irriter, sa grâce est abondante.
9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.	9 Le Seigneur est bon avec tous, sa miséricorde embrasse toute son œuvre.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.	10 Que tes œuvres te louent, Seigneur, et que tes fidèles te bénissent.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;	11 Qu’ils proclament la gloire de ton règne et nous redisent tes exploits.
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.	12 Qu’ils fassent connaître aux hommes ta vaillance, et la gloire, et l’honneur de ton règne.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.	13 Si tu règnes, tu règnes pour les siècles, ta souveraineté s’impose d’âge en âge: le Seigneur est fidèle en toute ses paroles, il montre sa bonté en toutes ses œuvres.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.	14 Le Seigneur retient celui qui tombe, et redresse celui qu’on a courbé.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.	15 Tous attendent de toi que tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.	16 Tu ouvres ta main, et pour tous les vivants c’est l’abondance de tes biens.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.	17 Le Seigneur est juste, quelles que soient ses voies, il montre sa bonté en toutes ses œuvres.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.	18 Le Seigneur est proche de celui qui l’appelle, proche de tous ceux qui l’appellent, s’ils sont vrais.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.	19 Il exauce le désir de ceux qui le craignent, il entend leur clameur et vient les secourir.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.	20 Tous ceux qui l’aiment, le Seigneur les garde, mais tous les méchants, il les fait périr.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.	21 Que ma bouche proclame la louange du Seigneur et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom toujours et à jamais!
