1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.	1 Cantico dei gradi. Quando il Signore fè tornare quelli di Sion dalla cattività, noi fummo come uomini ricolmi di consolazione:
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.	2 Allora fu ripiena di gaudio la nostra bocca, e la nostra lingua di giubilo.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.	3 Allora dirassi tralle nazioni: Il Signore ha fatte cose grandi per essi.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.	4 Il Signore ha fatto cose grandi per noi: siamo inondati di letizia.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.	5 Riconduci, o Signore, i nostri dalla cattività, quasi torrente al soffio dell'austro.
	6 Quei, che seminano tralle lagrime, mieteranno con giubilo.
	7 Camminavano, e andavan piangendo a spargere la loro semenza.
	8 Ma al ritorno verranno con festa grande, portando i loro manipoli.
