Psalms 125

KING JAMES BIBLE	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.	1 A Canticle in steps. When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we became like those who are consoled.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.	2 Then our mouth was filled with gladness and our tongue with exultation. Then they will say among the nations: “The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.	3 The Lord has done great things for us. We have become joyful.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.	4 Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.	5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in exultation.
	6 When departing, they went forth and wept, sowing their seeds.
	7 But when returning, they will arrive with exultation, carrying their sheaves.
