Psalms 125

1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.	1 - Cantico de' gradini. Quando il Signore ricondusse gli esuli di Sion, eravamo come trasognati.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.	2 Allora fu ripiena [d'un sorriso] di gioia la nostra boccae la lingua nostra di giubilo. Allora si diceva tra le genti:«Grandi cose ha fatto il Signore per essi!».
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.	3 [Sì], grandi cose ha fatto il Signore per noi; noi siamo in esultanza.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.	4 Riconduci, o Signore, i nostri esulicome un torrente nel mezzogiorno.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.	5 Quei che seminan tra le lacrime, nel giubilo mieteranno.
	6 Andavano, andavano e piangevano, spargendo il loro seme: vengono ora, vengono nel giubilo, portando i loro covoni.
