1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.	1 Respondió Moisés y dijo: «No van a creerme, ni escucharán mi voz; pues dirán: “No se te ha aparecido Yahveh.”»
2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.	2 Díjole Yahveh: «¿Qué tienes en tu mano?» «Un cayado», respondió él.
3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.	3 Yahveh le dijo: «Échalo a tierra.» Lo echó a tierra y se convirtió en serpiente; y Moisés huyó de ella.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:	4 Dijo Yahveh a Moisés: «Extiende tu mano y agárrala por la cola.» Extendió la mano, la agarró, y volvió a ser cayado en su mano...
5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.	5 «Para que crean que se te ha aparecido Yahveh, el Dios de sus padres, el Dios de Abraham, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob.»
6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.	6 Y añadió Yahveh: «Mete tu mano en el pecho.» Metió él la mano en su pecho y cuando la volvió a sacar estaba cubierta de lepra, blanca como la nieve.
7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.	7 Y le dijo: «Vuelve a meter la mano en tu pecho.» La volvió a meter y, cuando la sacó de nuevo, estaba ya como el resto de su carne.
8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.	8 «Así pues, si no te creen ni escuchan la voz por la primera señal, creerán por la segunda.
9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.	9 Y si no creen tampoco por estas dos señales y no escuchan tu voz, tomarás agua del Río y la derramarás en el suelo; y el agua que saques del Río se convertirá en sangre sobre el suelo.»
10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.	10 Dijo Moisés a Yahveh: «¡Por favor, Señor! Yo no he sido nunca hombre de palabra fácil, ni aun después de haber hablado tú con tu siervo; sino que soy torpe de boca y de lengua.»
11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?	11 Le respondió Yahveh: «¿Quién ha dado al hombre la boca? ¿? Quién hace al mudo y al sordo, al que ve y al ciego? ¿No soy yo, Yahveh?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.	12 Así pues, vete, que yo estaré en tu boca y te enseñaré lo que debes decir.»
13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.	13 El replicó: «Por favor, envía a quien quieras.»
14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.	14 Entonces se encendió la ira de Yahveh contra Moisés, y le dijo: «¿No tienes a tu hermano Aarón el levita? Sé que él habla bien; he aquí que justamente ahora sale a tu encuentro, y al verte se alegrará su corazón.
15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.	15 Tu le hablarás y pondrás las palabras en su boca; yo estaré en tu boca y en la suya, y os enseñaré lo que habéis de hacer.
16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.	16 El hablará por ti al pueblo, él será tu boca y tú serás su dios.
17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.	17 Toma también en tu mano este cayado, porque con él has de hacer las señales.»
18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.	18 Moisés volvió y regresó a casa de Jetró, su suegro, y le dijo: «Con tu permiso, me vuelvo a ver a mis hermanos de Egipto para saber si viven todavía.» Dijo Jetró a Moisés: «Vete en paz.»
19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life.	19 Yahveh dijo a Moisés en Madián: «Anda, vuelve a Egipto ; pues han muerto todos los que buscaban tu muerte.»
20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.	20 Tomó, pues, Moisés a su mujer y a su hijo y, montándolos sobre un asno, volvió a la tierra de Egipto. Tomó también Moisés el cayado de Dios en su mano.
21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.	21 Y dijo Yahveh a Moisés: «Cuando vuelvas a Egipto, harás delante de Faraón todos los prodigios que yo he puesto en tu mano; yo, por mi parte, endureceré su corazón, y no dejará salir al pueblo.
22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:	22 Y dirás a Faraón: Así dice Yahveh: Israel es mi hijo, mi primogénito.
23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.	23 Yo te he dicho: “Deja ir a mi hijo para que me dé culto,” pero como tú no quieres dejarle partir, mira que yo voy a matar a tu hijo, a tu primogénito.»
24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.	24 Y sucedió que en el camino le salió al encuentro Yahveh en el lugar donde pasaba la noche y quiso darle muerte.
25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.	25 Tomó entonces Seforá un cuchillo de pedernal y, cortando el prepucio de su hijo, tocó los pies de Moisés, diciendo: «Tú eres para mí esposo de sangre.»
26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.	26 Y Yahveh le soltó; ella había dicho: «esposo de sangre», por la circuncisión.
27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.	27 Dijo Yahveh a Aarón: «Vete al desierto al encuentro de Moisés.» Partió, pues, y le encontró en el monte de Dios y le besó.
28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.	28 Moisés contó a Aarón todas las palabras que Yahveh le había encomendado y todas las señales que le había mandado hacer.
29 And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:	29 Fueron, pues, Moisés y Aarón y reunieron a todos los ancianos de los israelitas.
30 And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.	30 Aarón refirió todas las palabras que Yahveh había dicho a Moisés, el cual hizo las señales delante del pueblo.
31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.	31 El pueblo creyó, y al oír que Yahveh había visitado a los israelitas y había visto su aflicción, se postraron y adoraron.
