1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.	1 Vous ne recevrez point la parole du mensonge, et vous ne prêterez point la main à l'impie pour porter un faux témoignage en sa faveur.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:	2 Vous ne suivrez point la multitude pour faire le mal, et, dans le jugement, vous ne vous rendrez point à l'avis du grand nombre pour vous détourner de la vérité.
3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.	3 Vous ne favoriserez pas le pauvre dans vos jugements.
4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.	4 Si vous rencontrez le boeuf de votre ennemi ou son âne lorsqu'il est égaré, ramenez-les-lui.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.	5 Si vous voyez l'âne de celui qui vous hait tombé sous sa charge, vous ne passerez point outre, mais vous l'aiderez à le relever.
6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.	6 Vous ne vous écarterez point de la justice pour condamner le pauvre.
7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.	7 Vous fuirez le mensonge; vous ne ferez point mourir l'innocent et le juste, parce que J'abhorre l'impie.
8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.	8 Vous ne recevrez point de présents, parce qu'ils aveuglent les sages mêmes et qu'ils corrompent les jugements des justes.
9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.	9 Vous ne ferez point de peine à l'étranger, car vous connaissez l'état des étrangers, puisque vous avez été vous-mêmes étrangers dans l'Egypte.
10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:	10 Vous sèmerez votre terre pendant six années, et vous en recueillerez les fruits.
11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.	11 Mais vous ne la cultiverez point la septième année, et vous la laisserez reposer, afin que les pauvres de votre peuple trouvent de quoi manger et que ce qui restera soit pour les bêtes des champs. Vous ferez la même chose à l'égard de vos vignes et de vos plants d'oliviers.
12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.	12 Vous travaillerez durant six jours, et le septième vous ne travaillerez point, afin que votre boeuf et votre âne se reposent, et que le fils de votre servante et l'étranger aient quelque relâche.
13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.	13 Observez toutes les choses que Je vous ai commandées. Ne jurez point par le nom des dieux étrangers, et que leur nom ne sorte jamais de votre bouche.
14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.	14 Vous célébrerez des fêtes en Mon honneur trois fois chaque année.
15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)	15 Vous garderez la fête solennelle des pains sans levain. Vous mangerez, comme Je vous l'ai ordonné, des pains sans levain pendant sept jours dans le mois des fruits nouveaux, temps auquel vous êtes sortis d'Egypte. Vous ne vous présenterez point devant Moi les mains vides.
16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.	16 Vous célébrerez aussi la fête solennelle de la moisson et des prémices de votre travail, de tout ce que vous aurez semé dans les champs, et la troisième fête solennelle à la fin de l'année, lorsque vous aurez recueilli tous les fruits de vos champs.
17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.	17 Tous les mâles qui sont parmi vous viendront se présenter trois fois l'année devant le Seigneur votre Dieu.
18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.	18 Vous ne M'offrerez point avec du levain le sang de la victime qui M'est immolée, et la graisse de l'hostie offerte en Ma solennité ne demeurera point jusqu'au lendemain.
19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.	19 Vous viendrez offrir en la maison du Seigneur votre Dieu, les prémices des fruits de votre terre. Vous ne ferez point cuire le chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.	20 Voici que J'enverrai Mon Ange, afin qu'Il marche devant vous, qu'Il vous garde pendant le chemin et qu'Il vous fasse entrer dans la terre que Je vous ai préparée.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.	21 Respectez-Le, écoutez Sa voix et gardez-vous bien de Le mépriser, parce qu'Il ne vous pardonnera point lorsque vous pécherez, et parce que Mon nom est en Lui.
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.	22 Si vous écoutez Sa voix et si vous faites tout ce que Je vous dis, Je serai l'ennemi de vos ennemis et J'affligerai ceux qui vous affligent.
23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.	23 Mon Ange marchera devant vous, et Il vous fera entrer dans la terre des Amorrhéens, des Héthéens, des Phérézéens, des Chananéens, des Hévéens et des Jébuséens; car Je les exterminerai.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.	24 Vous ne vous prosternerez pas devant leurs dieux et vous ne les servirez pas. Vous n'imiterez point leurs oeuvres, mais vous les détruirez et vous briserez leurs statues.
25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.	25 Vous servirez le Seigneur votre Dieu, afin que Je bénisse votre pain et les eaux que vous buvez, et que Je banisse toutes les maladies du milieu de vous.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.	26 Il n'y aura point dans votre terre de femme stérile et inféconde, et Je remplirai le nombre de vos jours.
27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.	27 J'enverrai Ma terreur devant vous; J'exterminerai tous les peuples auprès desquels vous entrerez, et Je ferai fuir tous vos ennemis devant vous.
28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.	28 J'enverrai des frelons devant vous, qui mettront en fuite les Hévéens, les Chananéens et les Héthéens, avant que vous entriez dans leur pays.
29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.	29 Je ne les chasserai pas de devant votre face en une seule année, de peur que la terre ne soit réduite en solitude et que les bêtes ne se multiplient contre vous.
30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.	30 Je les chasserai peu à peu de devant vous, jusqu'à ce que vous croissiez en nombre et que vous vous rendiez maîtres de tout le pays.
31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.	31 Les limites que Je vous marquerai seront depuis la mer Rouge jusqu'à la mer des Philistins, et depuis le désert jusqu'au fleuve. Je livrerai entre vos mains les habitants de cette terre, et Je les mettrai en fuite devant vous.
32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.	32 Vous ne ferez point d'alliance avec eux ni avec les dieux qu'ils adorent.
33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.	33 Ils n'habiteront point dans votre terre, de peur qu'ils ne vous portent à M'offenser en servant les dieux qu'ils adorent, ce qui sera certainement votre ruine.
