1 And God spake all these words, saying,	1 Entonces Dios pronunció estas palabras:
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.	2 Yo soy el Señor, tu Dios, que te hice salir de Egipto, de un lugar en esclavitud.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.	3 No tendrás otros dioses delante de mí.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:	4 No te harás ninguna escultura y ninguna imagen de lo que hay arriba, en el cielo, o abajo, en la tierra, o debajo de la tierra, en las aguas.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;	5 No te postrarás ante ellas, ni les rendirás culto, porque yo soy el Señor, tu Dios, un Dios celoso, que castigo la maldad de los padres en los hijos, hasta la tercera y cuarta generación, si ellos me aborrecen;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.	6 y tengo misericordia a lo largo de mil generaciones, si me aman y cumplen mis mandamientos.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.	7 No pronunciarás en vano el nombre del Señor, tu Dios, porque él no dejará sin castigo al que lo pronuncie en vano.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.	8 Acuérdate del día sábado para santificarlo.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:	9 Durante seis días trabajarás y harás todas tus tareas;
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:	10 pero el séptimo es día de descanso en honor del Señor, tu Dios. En él no harán ningún trabajo, ni tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu esclavo, ni tu esclava, ni tus animales, ni el extranjero que reside en tus ciudades.
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.	11 Porque en seis días el Señor hizo el cielo, la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos, pero el séptimo día descansó. Por eso el Señor bendijo el día sábado y lo declaró santo.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.	12 Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, para que tengas una larga vida en la tierra que el Señor, tu Dios, te da.
13 Thou shalt not kill.	13 No matarás.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.	14 No cometerás adulterio.
15 Thou shalt not steal.	15 No robarás.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.	16 No darás falso testimonio contra tu prójimo.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.	17 No codiciarás la casa de tu prójimo; no codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni su esclavo, ni su esclava, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni ninguna otra cosa que le pertenezca.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.	18 Al percibir los truenos, los relámpagos y el sonido de la trompeta, y al ver la montaña humeante, todo el pueblo se estremeció de temor y se mantuvo alejado.
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.	19 Entonces dijeron a Moisés: «Háblanos tú y oiremos, pero que no nos hable Dios, porque moriremos».
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.	20 Moisés respondió al pueblo: «No teman, porque Dios ha venido a ponerlos a prueba para infundirles su temor. Así ustedes no pecarán».
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.	21 Y mientras el pueblo se mantenía a distancia, Moisés se acercó a la nube oscura donde estaba Dios.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.	22 El Señor dijo a Moisés: Di a los israelitas: Ustedes han visto que les hablé desde el cielo.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.	23 No se fabriquen dioses de plata o de oro para ponerlos a mi lado.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.	24 Me harás un altar de tierra, y sobre él ofrecerás tus holocaustos y tus sacrificios de comunión, tus ovejas y tus bueyes. Vendré y te bendeciré en cualquier lugar donde yo haga que se recuerde mi Nombre.
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.	25 Si me edificas un altar de piedra, no lo harás con piedras talladas, porque al trabajarlas con el hierro, las profanarás,.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.	26 Tampoco subirás por gradas a mi altar, para que no se vea tu desnudez.
