Esther 7

KING JAMES BIBLE	LXX
1 The great king Artexerxes unto the princes and governors of an hundred and seven and twenty provinces from India unto Ethiopia, and unto all our faithful subjects, greeting.	1 εισηλθεν δε ο βασιλευς και αμαν συμπιειν τη βασιλισση
2 Many, the more often they are honoured with the great bounty of their gracious princes, the more proud they are waxen,	2 ειπεν δε ο βασιλευς εσθηρ τη δευτερα ημερα εν τω ποτω τι εστιν εσθηρ βασιλισσα και τι το αιτημα σου και τι το αξιωμα σου και εστω σοι εως του ημισους της βασιλειας μου
3 And endeavour to hurt not our subjects only, but not being able to bear abundance, do take in hand to practise also against those that do them good:	3 και αποκριθεισα ειπεν ει ευρον χαριν ενωπιον του βασιλεως δοθητω η ψυχη μου τω αιτηματι μου και ο λαος μου τω αξιωματι μου
4 And take not only thankfulness away from among men, but also lifted up with the glorious words of lewd persons, that were never good, they think to escape the justice of God, that seeth all things and hateth evil.	4 επραθημεν γαρ εγω τε και ο λαος μου εις απωλειαν και διαρπαγην και δουλειαν ημεις και τα τεκνα ημων εις παιδας και παιδισκας και παρηκουσα ου γαρ αξιος ο διαβολος της αυλης του βασιλεως
5 Oftentimes also fair speech of those, that are put in trust to manage their friends' affairs, hath caused many that are in authority to be partakers of innocent blood, and hath enwrapped them in remediless calamities:	5 ειπεν δε ο βασιλευς τις ουτος οστις ετολμησεν ποιησαι το πραγμα τουτο
6 Beguiling with the falsehood and deceit of their lewd disposition the innocency and goodness of princes.	6 ειπεν δε εσθηρ ανθρωπος εχθρος αμαν ο πονηρος ουτος αμαν δε εταραχθη απο του βασιλεως και της βασιλισσης
7 Now ye may see this, as we have declared, not so much by ancient histories, as ye may, if ye search what hath been wickedly done of late through the pestilent behaviour of them that are unworthily placed in authority.	7 ο δε βασιλευς εξανεστη εκ του συμποσιου εις τον κηπον ο δε αμαν παρητειτο την βασιλισσαν εωρα γαρ εαυτον εν κακοις οντα
8 And we must take care for the time to come, that our kingdom may be quiet and peaceable for all men,	8 επεστρεψεν δε ο βασιλευς εκ του κηπου αμαν δε επιπεπτωκει επι την κλινην αξιων την βασιλισσαν ειπεν δε ο βασιλευς ωστε και την γυναικα βιαζη εν τη οικια μου αμαν δε ακουσας διετραπη τω προσωπω
9 Both by changing our purposes, and always judging things that are evident with more equal proceeding.	9 ειπεν δε βουγαθαν εις των ευνουχων προς τον βασιλεα ιδου και ξυλον ητοιμασεν αμαν μαρδοχαιω τω λαλησαντι περι του βασιλεως και ωρθωται εν τοις αμαν ξυλον πηχων πεντηκοντα ειπεν δε ο βασιλευς σταυρωθητω επ' αυτου
10 For Aman, a Macedonian, the son of Amadatha, being indeed a stranger from the Persian blood, and far distant from our goodness, and as a stranger received of us,	10 και εκρεμασθη αμαν επι του ξυλου ο ητοιμασεν μαρδοχαιω και τοτε ο βασιλευς εκοπασεν του θυμου
