1 Maszkíl Dávidtól. Boldog, akinek gonoszsága bocsánatot nyert, és akiknek bűne el van takarva.	1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.
2 Boldog az, akinek az Úr nem tudja be vétkét, s akinek lelkében nincsen csalárdság.	2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.
3 Amíg hallgattam, csontjaim megöregedtek, s egész nap jajgattam.	3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;
4 Mert éjjel-nappal rám nehezedett kezed, ellankadt erőm, mint a nyár hevében.	4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause
5 Megvallottam előtted bűnömet, gonoszságomat el nem rejtettem. Elhatároztam: »Megvallom magam ellen hűtlenségemet az Úrnak.« És te vétkem gonoszságát megbocsátottad.	5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause
6 Hozzád fohászkodjon tehát minden szent alkalmas időben, akkor áradjanak bár a vizek, el nem érik őket.	6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.
7 Te vagy menedékem, megőrzöl a veszedelemtől; Körülveszel a szabadulás örömével.	7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause
8 Értelmet adok neked és megtanítlak az útra, amelyen járnod kell; Rajtad tartom szemem.	8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.
9 Ne legyetek értelmetlenek, mint a ló és az öszvér: amelyeknek fékkel és zablával kell szorítani az állát, másként nem közelednek hozzád.	9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.
10 Sok csapás éri a bűnöst, ám az Úrban remélőt irgalom övezi.	10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.
11 Örvendjetek az Úrban és vigadjatok, igazak, ujjongjatok mindnyájan egyenes szívűek!	11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.
