DOUAI-RHEIMS	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love.	1 انا الكرمة الحقيقية وابي الكرّام.
2 dummy verses inserted by amos	2 كل غصن فيّ لا يأتي بثمر ينزعه. وكل ما يأتي بثمر ينقيه ليأتي بثمر اكثر.
3 dummy verses inserted by amos	3 انتم الآن انقياء لسبب الكلام الذي كلمتكم به.
4 dummy verses inserted by amos	4 اثبتوا فيّ وانا فيكم. كما ان الغصن لا يقدر ان يأتي بثمر من ذاته ان لم يثبت في الكرمة كذلك انتم ايضا ان لم تثبتوا فيّ.
5 dummy verses inserted by amos	5 انا الكرمة وانتم الاغصان. الذي يثبت فيّ وانا فيه هذا يأتي بثمر كثير. لانكم بدوني لا تقدرون ان تفعلوا شيئا.
6 dummy verses inserted by amos	6 ان كان احد لا يثبت فيّ يطرح خارجا كالغصن فيجف ويجمعونه ويطرحونه في النار فيحترق.
7 dummy verses inserted by amos	7 ان ثبتم فيّ وثبت كلامي فيكم تطلبون ما تريدون فيكون لكم.
8 dummy verses inserted by amos	8 بهذا يتمجد ابي ان تأتوا بثمر كثير فتكونون تلاميذي.
9 dummy verses inserted by amos	9 كما احبني الآب كذلك احببتكم انا. اثبتوا في محبتي.
10 dummy verses inserted by amos	10 ان حفظتم وصاياي تثبتون في محبتي كما اني انا قد حفظت وصايا ابي واثبت في محبته.
11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled.	11 كلمتكم بهذا لكي يثبت فرحي فيكم ويكمل فرحكم
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.	12 هذه هي وصيتي ان تحبوا بعضكم بعضا كما احببتكم.
13 Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.	13 ليس لاحد حب اعظم من هذا ان يضع احد نفسه لاجل احبائه.
14 You are my friends, if you do the things that I command you.	14 انتم احبائي ان فعلتم ما اوصيكم به.
15 I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends: because all things whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you.	15 لا اعود اسميكم عبيدا لان العبد لا يعلم ما يعمل سيده. لكني قد سميتكم احباء لاني أعلمتكم بكل ما سمعته من ابي.
16 You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go, and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.	16 ليس انتم اخترتموني بل انا اخترتكم واقمتكم لتذهبوا وتأتوا بثمر ويدوم ثمركم. لكي يعطيكم الآب كل ما طلبتم باسمي.
17 These things I command you, that you love one another.	17 بهذا اوصيكم حتى تحبوا بعضكم بعضا
18 If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you.	18 ان كان العالم يبغضكم فاعلموا انه قد ابغضني قبلكم.
19 If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.	19 لو كنتم من العالم لكان العالم يحب خاصته. ولكن لانكم لستم من العالم بل انا اخترتكم من العالم لذلك يبغضكم العالم.
20 Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.	20 اذكروا الكلام الذي قلته لكم ليس عبد اعظم من سيده. ان كانوا قد اضطهدوني فسيضطهدونكم. وان كانوا قد حفظوا كلامي فسيحفظون كلامكم.
21 But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake: because they know not him who sent me.	21 لكنهم انما يفعلون بكم هذا كله من اجل اسمي لانهم لا يعرفون الذي ارسلني.
22 If I had not come, and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.	22 لو لم اكن قد جئت وكلمتهم لم تكن لهم خطية. واما الآن فليس لهم عذر في خطيتهم.
23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.	23 الذي يبغضني يبغض ابي ايضا.
24 If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.	24 لو لم اكن قد عملت بينهم اعمالا لم يعملها احد غيري لم تكن لهم خطية. واما الآن فقد رأوا وابغضوني انا وابي.
25 But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause.	25 لكن لكي تتم الكلمة المكتوبة في ناموسهم انهم ابغضوني بلا سبب
26 But when the Paraclete cometh, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall give testimony of me.	26 ومتى جاء المعزي الذي سأرسله انا اليكم من الآب روح الحق الذي من عند الآب ينبثق فهو يشهد لي.
27 And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning.	27 وتشهدون انتم ايضا لانكم معي من الابتداء
