1 Woe to you that devise that which is unprofitable, and work evil in your beds: in the morning light they execute it, because their hand is against God.	1 Malheur à vous, qui formez des projets inutiles, et qui forgez le mal sur vos couches! Au point du jour ils l'exécutent, car c'est contre Dieu même qu'est leur main.
2 And they have coveted fields, and taken them by violence, and houses they have forcibly taken away: and oppressed a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.	2 Ils ont convoité des champs et ils les ont pris avec violence; ils ont ravi des maisons; ils ont opprimé l'homme et sa maison, le maître et son héritage.
3 Therefore thus saith the Lord : Behold, I devise an evil against this family: from which you shall not withdraw your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for this is a very evil time.	3 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur: Voici que Je médite contre ce peuple un malheur dont vous ne dégagerez pas vos cous, et vous ne marcherez plus d'un pas superbe, car ce temps sera très mauvais.
4 In that day a parable shall be taken up upon you, and a song shall be sung with melody by them that say: We are laid waste and spoiled: the portion of my people is changed: how shall he depart from me, whereas he is returning that will divide our land?	4 En ce jour-là on fera sur vous une parabole, et on chantera une chanson plaisante; on dira: Nous sommes tout à fait dévastés, la part de mon peuple est passée à d'autres; comment celui qui doit partager nos champs s'éloigne-t-il, puisqu'il reviendra?
5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the cord of a lot in the assembly of the Lord.	5 C'est pourquoi il n'y aura personne qui jette pour toi le cordeau du partage dans l'assemblée du Seigneur.
6 Speak ye not, saying: It shall not drop upon these, confusion shall not take them.	6 Ne dites point: Ces paroles ne tomberont pas sur eux, la confusion ne les saisira pas.
7 The house of Jacob saith: Is the spirit of the Lord straitened, or are these his thoughts? Are not my words good to him that walketh uprightly?	7 La maison de Jacob dit: L'Esprit du Seigneur est-Il devenu moins étendu, ou peut-Il avoir de telles pensées? Est-ce que Mes paroles ne sont pas bonnes pour celui qui marche avec droiture?
8 But my people, on the contrary, are risen up as an enemy: you have taken away the cloak off from the coat: and them that passed harmless you have turned to war.	8 Au contraire, Mon peuple s'est levé comme un ennemi. Vous avez enlevé le manteau de dessus la tunique, et vous avez traité en ennemi ceux qui passaient pacifiquement.
9 You have cast out the women of my people from their houses, in which they took delight: you have taken my praise for ever from their children.	9 Vous avez chassé les femmes de Mon peuple des maisons où elles vivaient heureuses; vous avez ôté à jamais Ma louange de la bouche de leurs petits enfants.
10 Arise ye, and depart, for there is no rest here for you. For that uncleanness of the land, it shall be corrupted with a grievous corruption.	10 Levez-vous, et partez, car vous n'aurez pas ici de repos; à cause de sa souillure, il sera corrompu par une affreuse pourriture.
11 Would God I were not a man that hath the spirit, and that I rather spoke a lie: I will let drop to thee of wine, and of drunkenness: and it shall be this people upon whom it shall drop.	11 Plût à Dieu que je n'eusse pas l'esprit, et que je disse plutôt des mensonges! Je vous prophétiserais sur le vin et sur l'ivresse; c'est ce qu'il faut prophétiser à ce peuple.
12 I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as the sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.	12 Je te rassemblerai tout entier, Jacob; Je réunirai les restes d'Israël; Je les mettrai ensemble comme un troupeau dans la bergerie, comme des brebis au milieu de leur parc; la foule des hommes y causera de la confusion.
13 For he shall go up that shall open the way before them: they shall divide, and pass through the gate, and shall come in by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord at the head of them.	13 Car Celui qui doit ouvrir le chemin marchera devant eux; ils feront une brèche, franchiront la porte et y entreront; leur Roi passera devant eux, et le Seigneur sera à leur tête.
