2 Have mercy on me, O God, for man hath trodden me under foot; all the day long he hath afflicted me fighting against me.	2 Ô Dieu, aie pitié de moi quand on me harcèle! tout le jour l’assaillant me presse,
3 My enemies have trodden on me all the day long; for they are many that make war against me.	3 tout le jour il me harcèle et me regarde me débattre. Qu’ils sont nombreux, mes adversaires! C’est en toi, Très-Haut,
4 From the height of the day I shall fear: but I will trust in thee.	4 que je me confie, le jour où je prends peur:
5 In God I will praise my words, in God I have put my trust: I will not fear what flesh can do against me.	5 je réveille ma foi aux paroles de Dieu, en Dieu je me confie et je n’ai plus de crainte: que peut me faire un mortel?
6 All the day long they detested my words: all their thoughts were against me unto evil.	6 Tout le jour j’entends des paroles blessantes, ils ne pensent qu’à me faire du mal.
7 They will dwell and hide themselves: they will watch my heel. As they have waited for my soul,	7 Ils s’ameutent et se cachent, ils relèvent mes traces, ils partent en chasse contre moi.
8 for nothing shalt thou save them: in thy anger thou shalt break the people in pieces, O God,	8 Pas de salut pour eux après tant d’injustices, ô Dieu, fais tomber sur eux la fureur des païens.
9 I have declared to thee my life: thou hast set my tears in thy sight, As also in thy promise.	9 Tu as fait le compte de mes déboires, recueille mes larmes dans ton fermoir.
10 Then shall my enemies be turned back. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, behold I know thou art my God.	10 Mes ennemis reviendront en arrière le jour où je ferai appel, car je sais bien que Dieu est pour moi.
11 In God will I praise the word, in the Lord will I praise his speech. In God have I hoped, I will not fear what man can do to me.	11 Je réveille ma foi aux paroles de Dieu, je reprends foi en la parole du Seigneur.
12 In me, O God, are vows to thee, which I will pay, praises to thee:	12 en Dieu je me confie et je n’ai plus de crainte: que peut me faire un mortel?
13 Because thou hast delivered my soul from death, my feet from falling: that I may please in the sight of God, in the light of the living.	13 Je n’oublie pas, ô Dieu, mes promesses, je t’offrirai la victime pour l’action de grâce.
	14 Car tu as gardé mes pieds d’un faux pas et je marcherai en présence de Dieu dans la lumière des vivants.
