DIODATI	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 E GIOBBE rispose, e disse:	1 Then Job spoke again and said:
2 O quanto hai tu bene aiutato il debole, Ed hai salvato il braccio fiacco!	2 What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!
3 O quanto hai tu ben consigliato colui che è privo di sapienza, E gli hai largamente dimostrata la ragione!	3 How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!
4 A cui hai tu tenuti questi ragionamenti? E lo spirito di cui è uscito di te?	4 With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?
5 I giganti sono stati formati da Dio, E gli animali che stanno nelle acque sono stati formati sotto esse.	5 The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.
6 L’inferno è ignudo davanti a lui, E non vi è copritura alcuna al luogo della perdizione.	6 Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.
7 Egli distende l’Aquilone in sul vuoto, Egli tiene sospesa la terra in su niente.	7 He stretches out the North over empty space, and suspends the earth over nothing at all;
8 Egli serra le acque nelle sue nuvole, E non però si schiantano le nubi sotto esse.	8 He binds up the waters in his clouds, yet the cloud is not rent by their weight;
9 Egli tavola la superficie del suo trono, Egli spande la sua nuvola sopra esso.	9 He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.
10 Egli ha con la sesta posto un certo termine intorno alle acque, Il qual durerà infino alla fine della luce e delle tenebre.	10 He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.
11 Le colonne de’ cieli sono scrollate, Ed attonite, quando egli le sgrida.	11 The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;
12 Egli ha fesso il mare con la sua forza, E col suo senno ha trafitto Rahab.	12 By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;
13 Egli ha col suo Spirito adorni i cieli; La sua mano ha formato il serpente guizzante.	13 With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.
14 Ecco, queste cose son solo alcune particelle delle sue vie; E quanto poco è quel che noi ne abbiamo udito? E chi potrà intendere il tuono delle sue potenze?	14 Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!
