SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 وكلم الرب موسى قائلا	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
2 اوص بني اسرائيل وقل لهم. انكم داخلون الى ارض كنعان. هذه هي الارض التي تقع لكم نصيبا. ارض كنعان بتخومها.	2 'Give the Israelites this order. Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries:
3 تكون لكم ناحية الجنوب من برية صين على جانب ادوم. ويكون لكم تخم الجنوب من طرف بحر الملح الى الشرق	3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea.
4 ويدور لكم التخم من جنوب عقبة عقربّيم ويعبر الى صين وتكون مخارجه من جنوب قادش برنيع ويخرج الى حصر ادّار ويعبر الى عصمون.	4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. It wil then run towards Hazar-Addar and pass through Azmon.
5 ثم يدور التخم من عصمون الى وادي مصر وتكون مخارجه عند البحر.	5 From Azmon the boundary wil turn towards the Torrent of Egypt and end at the Sea.
6 واما تخم الغرب فيكون البحر الكبير لكم تخما. هذا يكون لكم تخم الغرب.	6 "Your seaboard wil be on the Great Sea; this will be your western boundary.
7 وهذا يكون لكم تخم الشمال. من البحر الكبير ترسمون لكم الى جبل هور.	7 "Your northern boundary wil be as fol ows: you wil draw a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor,
8 ومن جبل هور ترسمون الى مدخل حماة وتكون مخارج التخم الى صدد.	8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad.
9 ثم يخرج التخم الى زفرون وتكون مخارجه عند حصر عينان. هذا يكون لكم تخم الشمال.	9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary.
10 وترسمون لكم تخما الى الشرق من حصر عينان الى شفام.	10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham.
11 وينحدر التخم من شفام الى ربلة شرقي عين. ثم ينحدر التخم ويمسّ جانب بحر كنّارة الى الشرق.	11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth.
12 ثم ينحدر التخم الى الاردن وتكون مخارجه عند بحر الملح. هذه تكون لكم الارض بتخومها حواليها	12 The frontier wil then fol ow the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. "Such wil be your country with theboundaries surrounding it." '
13 فأمر موسى بني اسرائيل قائلا هذه هي الارض التي تقتسمونها بالقرعة. التي امر الرب ان تعطى للتسعة الاسباط ونصف السبط.	13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe,
14 لانه قد اخذ سبط بني رأوبين حسب بيوت آبائهم وسبط بني جاد حسب بيوت آبائهم ونصف سبط منسّى. قد اخذوا نصيبهم.	14 for the tribe of the Reubenites with their families and the tribe of the Gadites with their families havealready received their heritage; the half-tribe of Manasseh has also received its heritage.
15 السبطان ونصف السبط قد اخذوا نصيبهم في عبر اردن اريحا شرقا نحو الشروق	15 These two tribes and the half-tribe have received their heritage on the other side of the Jordan byJericho, to the east, towards the sunrise.'
16 وكلم الرب موسى قائلا.	16 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
17 هذان اسما الرجلين اللذين يقسمان لكم الارض. العازار الكاهن ويشوع بن نون	17 'Here are the names of the men who wil divide the country up for you: the priest Eleazar andJoshua son of Nun,
18 ورئيسا واحدا من كل سبط تاخذون لقسمة الارض.	18 and you wil take one leader from each tribe to divide the country up into heritages.
19 وهذه اسماء الرجال. من سبط يهوذا كالب بن يفنّة.	19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
20 ومن سبط بني شمعون شموئيل بن عميهود.	20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;
21 ومن سبط بنيامين أليداد بن كسلون.	21 'for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;
22 ومن سبط بني دان الرئيس بقّي بن يجلي.	22 'for the tribe of the Danites, the leader Bukki son of Jogli;
23 ومن بني يوسف من سبط بني منسّى الرئيس حنيئيل بن ايفود.	23 'for the sons of Joseph: for the tribe of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod;
24 ومن سبط بني افرايم الرئيس قموئيل بن شفطان.	24 'for the tribe of the Ephraimites, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan;
25 ومن سبط بني زبولون الرئيس أليصافان بن فرناخ.	25 'for the tribe of the Zebulunites, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach;
26 ومن سبط بني يسّاكر الرئيس فلطيئيل بن عزّان.	26 'for the tribe of the Issacharites, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan;
27 ومن سبط بني اشير الرئيس اخيهود بن شلومي.	27 'for the tribe of the Asherites, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi;
28 ومن سبط بني نفتالي الرئيس فدهئيل بن عميهود.	28 'for the tribe of the Naphtalites, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.'
29 هؤلاء هم الذين امرهم الرب ان يقسموا لبني اسرائيل في ارض كنعان	29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites.
