2 Tu, pastore d'Israele, ascolta, tu che guidi Giuseppe come un gregge, tu che siedi sui cherubini, rifulgi	2 Exult before God our helper. Sing joyfully to the God of Jacob.
3 davanti a Efraim, Beniamino e Manasse. Risveglia la tua potenza e vieni in nostro soccorso.	3 Take up a psalm, and bring forth the timbrel: a pleasing Psalter with stringed instruments.
4 O Dio delle schiere, rialzaci, fa' splendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.	4 Sound the trumpet at the new moon, on the noteworthy day of your solemnity,
5 Signore, Dio delle schiere, fino a quando fremerai di sdegno contro la supplica del tuo popolo?	5 for it is a precept in Israel and a judgment for the God of Jacob.
6 Hai dato loro da mangiare pane di lacrime, hai dato loro da bere lacrime in abbondanza.	6 He set it as a testimony with Joseph, when he went out of the land of Egypt. He heard a tongue that he did not know.

8 O Dio delle schiere, rialzaci, fa' splendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.	8 You called upon me in tribulation, and I freed you. I heard you within the hidden tempest. I tested you with waters of contradiction.
9 Asportasti una vite dall'Egitto e la trapiantasti, dopo aver cacciato via le genti.	9 My people, listen and I will call you to testify. If, O Israel, you will pay heed to me,
10 Preparasti per essa il terreno; mise radici in modo da riempire la terra.	10 then there will be no new god among you, nor will you adore a foreign god.
11 Furono coperti i monti della sua ombra e i cedri maestosi dei suoi rami.	11 For I am the Lord your God, who led you out of the land of Egypt. Widen your mouth, and I will fill it.

18 Sia la tua mano sull'uomo della tua destra, sul figlio d'uomo che ti sei allevato!
19 Non ci allontaneremo più da te; ci darai vita e invocheremo il tuo nome.
