2 My heart is stirred by a noble theme, as I sing my ode to the king. My tongue is the pen of a nimble scribe.	2 Eructavit cor meum verbum bonum, dico ego opera mea regi. Lingua mea calamus scribae velociter scribentis.
3 You are the most handsome of men; fair speech has graced your lips, for God has blessed you forever.	3 Speciosus forma es prae filiis hominum, diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis, propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.
4 Gird your sword upon your hip, mighty warrior! In splendor and majesty ride on triumphant!	4 Accingere gladio tuo super femur tuum, potentissime, magnificentia tua et ornatu tuo.
5 In the cause of truth and justice may your right hand show you wondrous deeds.	5 Et ornatu tuo procede, currum ascende propter veritatem et mansuetudinem et iustitiam. Et doceat te mirabilia dextera tua:
6 Your arrows are sharp; peoples will cower at your feet; the king's enemies will lose heart.	6 sagittae tuae acutae - populi sub te cadent - in corda inimicorum regis.
7 Your throne, O god, stands forever; your royal scepter is a scepter for justice.	7 Sedes tua, Deus, in saeculum saeculi; sceptrum aequitatis sceptrum regni tui.
8 You love justice and hate wrongdoing; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellow kings.	8 Dilexisti iustitiam et odisti iniquitatem, propterea unxit te Deus, Deus tuus, oleo laetitiae prae consortibus tuis.
9 With myrrh, aloes, and cassia your robes are fragrant. From ivory-paneled palaces stringed instruments bring you joy.	9 Myrrha et aloe et casia omnia vestimenta tua; e domibus eburneis chordae delectant te.
10 Daughters of kings are your lovely wives; a princess arrayed in Ophir's gold comes to stand at your right hand.	10 Filiae regum in pretiosis tuis; astitit regina a dextris tuis ornata auro ex Ophir. -
11 Listen, my daughter, and understand; pay me careful heed. Forget your people and your father's house,	11 Audi, filia, et vide et inclina aurem tuam et obliviscere populum tuum et domum patris tui;
12 that the king might desire your beauty. He is your lord;	12 et concupiscet rex speciem tuam. Quoniam ipse est dominus tuus, et adora eum.
13 honor him, daughter of Tyre. Then the richest of the people will seek your favor with gifts.	13 Filia Tyri cum muneribus; vultum tuum deprecabuntur divites plebis.
14 All glorious is the king's daughter as she enters, her raiment threaded with gold;	14 Gloriosa nimis filia regis intrinsecus, texturis aureis circumamicta.

17 The throne of your fathers your sons will have; you shall make them princes through all the land.	17 Pro patribus tuis erunt tibi filii; constitues eos principes super omnem terram.
18 I will make your name renowned through all generations; thus nations shall praise you forever.	18 Memor ero nominis tui in omni generatione et generatione; propterea populi confitebuntur tibi in aeternum et in saeculum saeculi.
