Psalms 101

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.	1 De David.Psaume. Je chanterai amour et jugement, pour toi, Yahvé, je jouerai;
2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.	2 j'avancerai dans la voie des parfaits: quand viendras-tu vers moi? Je suivrai la perfection de moncoeur dans ma maison;
3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.	3 point de place devant mes yeux pour rien de vil. Je hais les façons des dévoyés, elles n'ont sur moinulle prise;
4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.	4 loin de moi le coeur tortueux, le méchant, je l'ignore.
5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.	5 Qui dénigre en secret son prochain, celui-là, je le fais taire; l'oeil hautain, le coeur enflé, je ne puisles souffrir.
6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.	6 J'ai les yeux sur les fidèles du pays, qu'ils demeurent avec moi; celui qui marche dans la voie desparfaits sera mon servant.
7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.	7 Point de demeure en ma maison pour le faiseur de tromperie; le diseur de mensonges ne tient pasdevant mes yeux.
8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.	8 Au matin, je les fais taire, tous les impies du pays, pour retrancher de la ville de Yahvé tous lesmalfaisants.
