1 Dem Musikmeister, von den Korahiten (42,1), ein Psalm.	1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah Psalm] Clap your hands, all peoples, acclaim God withshouts of joy.
2 Ihr Völker alle, klatscht in die Hände,jauchzet Gott mit Jubelrufen zu!	2 For Yahweh, the Most High, is glorious, the great king over al the earth.
3 Denn der HERR, der Höchste, ist furchtbar (= ehrfurchtgebietend),ein mächtiger König über die ganze Erde.	3 He brings peoples under our yoke and nations under our feet.
4 Er hat Völker unter unsre Herrschaft gebeugtund Völkerschaften unter unsre Füße;	4 He chooses for us our birthright, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.Pause
5 er hat uns unser Erbteil auserwählt,den Stolz Jakobs, den er liebt. SELA.	5 God goes up to shouts of acclaim, Yahweh to a fanfare on the ram's horn.
6 Aufgefahren ist Gott unter Jauchzen,der HERR beim Schall der Posaunen.	6 Let the music sound for our God, let it sound, let the music sound for our king, let it sound.
7 Lobsinget Gott, lobsinget,lobsingt unserm König, lobsinget!	7 For he is king of the whole world; learn the music, let it sound for God!
8 Denn König der ganzen Erde ist Gott:so singt ihm denn ein kunstvolles Lied!	8 God reigns over the nations, seated on his holy throne.
9 Gott ist König geworden (vgl. 96,10) über die Völker,Gott hat sich gesetzt auf seinen heiligen Thron.	9 The leaders of the nations ral y to the people of the God of Abraham. The shields of the earth belongto God, who is exalted on high.
10 Die Edlen (oder: Fürsten) der Völker haben sich versammeltals das Volk des Gottes Abrahams;denn Gott sind untertan die Schilde (d.h. Beherrscher) der Erde:hoch erhaben steht er da.
