Psalms 96

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.	1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.	2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.	3 Tell God's glory among the nations; among all peoples, God's marvelous deeds.
4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.	4 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised, to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.	5 For the gods of the nations all do nothing, but the LORD made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.	6 Splendor and power go before him; power and grandeur are in his holy place.
7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.	7 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and might;
8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.	8 give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts and enter his courts;
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.	9 bow down to the LORD, splendid in holiness. Tremble before God, all the earth;
10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.	10 say among the nations: The LORD is king. The world will surely stand fast, never to be moved. God rules the peoples with fairness.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.	11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea and what fills it resound;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice	12 let the plains be joyful and all that is in them. Then let all the trees of the forest rejoice
13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.	13 before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with faithfulness.
