Der erste Brief an die Korinther 3

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Vor euch, Brüder, konnte ich aber nicht wie vor Geisterfüllten reden; ihr wart noch irdisch eingestellt, unmündige Kinder in Christus.	1 And so, brothers, I was not able to talk to you as spiritual people; I had to talk to you as people stilliving by your natural inclinations, stil infants in Christ;
2 Milch gab ich euch zu trinken statt fester Speise; denn diese konntet ihr noch nicht vertragen. Ihr könnt es aber auch jetzt noch nicht;	2 I fed you with milk and not solid food, for you were not yet able to take it -- and even now, you are stilnot able to,
3 denn ihr seid immer noch irdisch eingestellt. Oder seid ihr nicht irdisch eingestellt, handelt ihr nicht sehr menschlich, wenn Eifersucht und Streit unter euch herrschen?	3 for you are still living by your natural inclinations. As long as there are jealousy and rivalry among you,that surely means that you are stil living by your natural inclinations and by merely human principles.
4 Denn wenn einer sagt: Ich halte zu Paulus!, ein anderer: Ich zu Apollos!, seid ihr da nicht Menschen?	4 While there is one that says, 'I belong to Paul' and another that says, 'I belong to Apol os' are you notbeing only too human?
5 Was ist denn Apollos? Und was ist Paulus? Ihr seid durch sie zum Glauben gekommen. Sie sind also Diener, jeder, wie der Herr es ihm gegeben hat:	5 For what is Apollos and what is Paul? The servants through whom you came to believe, and each hasonly what the Lord has given him.
6 Ich habe gepflanzt, Apollos hat begossen, Gott aber ließ wachsen.	6 I did the planting, Apol os did the watering, but God gave growth.
7 So ist weder der etwas, der pflanzt, noch der, der begießt, sondern nur Gott, der wachsen lässt.	7 In this, neither the planter nor the waterer counts for anything; only God, who gives growth.
8 Wer pflanzt und wer begießt: Beide arbeiten am gleichen Werk, jeder aber erhält seinen besonderen Lohn, je nach der Mühe, die er aufgewendet hat.	8 It is al one who does the planting and who does the watering, and each will have the proper pay for thework that he has done.
9 Denn wir sind Gottes Mitarbeiter; ihr seid Gottes Ackerfeld, Gottes Bau.	9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building.
10 Der Gnade Gottes entsprechend, die mir geschenkt wurde, habe ich wie ein guter Baumeister den Grund gelegt; ein anderer baut darauf weiter. Aber jeder soll darauf achten, wie er weiterbaut.	10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, andsomeone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building.
11 Denn einen anderen Grund kann niemand legen als den, der gelegt ist: Jesus Christus.	11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely JesusChrist.
12 Ob aber jemand auf dem Grund mit Gold, Silber, kostbaren Steinen, mit Holz, Heu oder Stroh weiterbaut:	12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw
13 das Werk eines jeden wird offenbar werden; jener Tag wird es sichtbar machen, weil es im Feuer offenbart wird. Das Feuer wird prüfen, was das Werk eines jeden taugt.	13 but each person's handiwork wil be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clearand the fire itself wil test the quality of each person's work.
14 Hält das stand, was er aufgebaut hat, so empfängt er Lohn.	14 The one whose work stands up to it wil be given his wages;
15 Brennt es nieder, dann muss er den Verlust tragen. Er selbst aber wird gerettet werden, doch so wie durch Feuer hindurch.	15 the one whose work is burnt down wil suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he wil besaved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.
16 Wisst ihr nicht, dass ihr Gottes Tempel seid und der Geist Gottes in euch wohnt?	16 Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you?
17 Wer den Tempel Gottes verdirbt, den wird Gott verderben. Denn Gottes Tempel ist heilig, und der seid ihr.	17 If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God's temple isholy; and you are that temple.
18 Keiner täusche sich selbst. Wenn einer unter euch meint, er sei weise in dieser Welt, dann werde er töricht, um weise zu werden.	18 There is no room for self-delusion. Any one of you who thinks he is wise by worldly standards mustlearn to be a fool in order to be real y wise.
19 Denn die Weisheit dieser Welt ist Torheit vor Gott. In der Schrift steht nämlich: Er fängt die Weisen in ihrer eigenen List.	19 For the wisdom of the world is folly to God. As scripture says: He traps the crafty in the snare of theirown cunning
20 Und an einer anderen Stelle: Der Herr kennt die Gedanken der Weisen; er weiß, sie sind nichtig.	20 and again: The Lord knows the plans of the wise and how insipid they are.
21 Daher soll sich niemand eines Menschen rühmen. Denn alles gehört euch;	21 So there is to be no boasting about human beings: everything belongs to you,
22 Paulus, Apollos, Kephas, Welt, Leben, Tod, Gegenwart und Zukunft: alles gehört euch;	22 whether it is Paul, or Apol os, or Cephas, the world, life or death, the present or the future -- al belongto you;
23 ihr aber gehört Christus und Christus gehört Gott.	23 but you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.
