EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Die levitischen Priester - der ganze Stamm Levi - sollen nicht wie das übrige Israel Landanteil und Erbbesitz haben. Sie sollen sich von den Opferanteilen des Herrn, von seinem Erbbesitz, ernähren.	1 The priests and Levites, and all that are of the same tribe, shall have no part nor inheritance with the rest of Israel, because they shall eat the sacrifices of the Lord, and his oblations,
2 Der Stamm Levi soll inmitten seiner Brüder leben, aber keinen Erbbesitz haben. Der Herr selbst ist sein Erbbesitz, wie er es ihm zugesagt hat.	2 And they shall receive nothing else. of the possession of their brethren: for the Lord himself is their inheritance, as he hath said to them.
3 Und das ist das Recht, das die Priester gegenüber dem Volk haben, gegenüber denen, die ein Schlachtopfertier schlachten, sei es ein Stier oder ein Lamm: Man soll dem Priester den Bug, die Kinnbacken und den Labmagen geben.	3 This shall be the priest's due from the people, and from them that offer victims: whether they sacrifice an ox, or a sheep, they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the breast:
4 Du sollst ihm den ersten Ertrag von Korn, Wein und Öl und den ersten Ertrag der Schafschur geben.	4 The firstfruits also of corn, of wine, and of oil, and a part of the wool from the shearing of their sheep.
5 Denn der Herr, dein Gott, hat den Stamm Levi unter allen deinen Stämmen dazu ausgewählt, dass er im Namen des Herrn dasteht und Dienst tut - Levi und seine Nachkommen, ihr Leben lang.	5 For the Lord thy God hath chosen him of all thy tribes, to stand and to minister to the name of the Lord, him and his sons for ever.
6 Wenn ein Levit aus einem deiner Stadtbereiche irgendwo in Israel, in dem er als Fremder gewohnt hat, zu der Stätte kommt, die der Herr ausgewählt hat, und zwar, wann immer er möchte,	6 If a Levite go out of any one of the cities throughout all Israel, in which he dwelleth, and have a longing mind to come to the place which the Lord shall choose,
7 und wenn er dann wie alle seine levitischen Brüder, die dort vor dem Herrn stehen, im Namen des Herrn, seines Gottes, Dienst tut,	7 He shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, that shall stand at that time before the Lord.
8 sollen alle die gleiche Zuteilung erhalten, ohne dass man berücksichtigt, wie groß sein väterliches Vermögen ist.	8 He shall receive the same portion of food that the rest do: besides that which is due to him in his own city, by succession from his fathers.
9 Wenn du in das Land hineinziehst, das der Herr, dein Gott, dir gibt, sollst du nicht lernen, die Gräuel dieser Völker nachzuahmen.	9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God shall give thee, beware lest thou have a mind to imitate the abominations of those nations.
10 Es soll bei dir keinen geben, der seinen Sohn oder seine Tochter durchs Feuer gehen lässt, keinen, der Losorakel befragt, Wolken deutet, aus dem Becher weissagt, zaubert,	10 Neither let there be found among you any one that shall expiate his son or daughter, making them to pass through the fire: or that consulteth soothsayers, or observeth dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard,
11 Gebetsbeschwörungen hersagt oder Totengeister befragt, keinen Hellseher, keinen, der Verstorbene um Rat fragt.	11 Nor charmer, nor any one that consulteth pythonic spirits, or fortune tellers, or that seeketh the truth from the dead.
12 Denn jeder, der so etwas tut, ist dem Herrn ein Gräuel. Wegen dieser Gräuel vertreibt sie der Herr, dein Gott, vor dir.	12 For the Lord abhorreth all these things, and for these abominations he will destroy them at thy coming.
13 Du sollst ganz und gar bei dem Herrn, deinem Gott, bleiben.	13 Thou shalt be perfect, and without spot before the Lord thy God.
14 Denn diese Völker, deren Besitz du übernimmst, hören auf Wolkendeuter und Orakelleser. Für dich aber hat der Herr, dein Gott, es anders bestimmt.	14 These nations, whose land thou shalt possess, hearken to soothsayers and diviners: but thou art otherwise instructed by the Lord thy God.
15 Einen Propheten wie mich wird dir der Herr, dein Gott, aus deiner Mitte, unter deinen Brüdern, erstehen lassen. Auf ihn sollt ihr hören.	15 The Lord thy God will raise up to thee a PROPHET of thy nation and of thy brethren like unto me: him thou shalt hear:
16 Der Herr wird ihn als Erfüllung von allem erstehen lassen, worum du am Horeb, am Tag der Versammlung, den Herrn, deinen Gott, gebeten hast, als du sagtest: Ich kann die donnernde Stimme des Herrn, meines Gottes, nicht noch einmal hören und dieses große Feuer nicht noch einmal sehen, ohne dass ich sterbe.	16 As thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the assembly was gathered together, and saidst: Let me not hear any more the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see any more this exceeding great fire, lest I die.
17 Damals sagte der Herr zu mir: Was sie von dir verlangen, ist recht.	17 And the Lord said to me: They have spoken all things well.
18 Einen Propheten wie dich will ich ihnen mitten unter ihren Brüdern erstehen lassen. Ich will ihm meine Worte in den Mund legen und er wird ihnen alles sagen, was ich ihm auftrage.	18 m I will raise them up a prophet out of the midst of their brethren like to thee: and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
19 Einen Mann aber, der nicht auf meine Worte hört, die der Prophet in meinem Namen verkünden wird, ziehe ich selbst zur Rechenschaft.	19 And he that will not hear his words, which he shall speak in my name, I will be the revenger.
20 Doch ein Prophet, der sich anmaßt, in meinem Namen ein Wort zu verkünden, dessen Verkündigung ich ihm nicht aufgetragen habe, oder der im Namen anderer Götter spricht, ein solcher Prophet soll sterben.	20 But the prophet, who being corrupted with pride, shall speak in my name things that I did not command him to say, or in the name of strange gods, shall be slain.
21 Und wenn du denkst: Woran können wir ein Wort erkennen, das der Herr nicht gesprochen hat?,	21 And if in silent thought thou answer: How shall I know the word that the Lord hath not spoken?
22 dann sollst du wissen: Wenn ein Prophet im Namen des Herrn spricht und sein Wort sich nicht erfüllt und nicht eintrifft, dann ist es ein Wort, das nicht der Herr gesprochen hat. Der Prophet hat sich nur angemaßt, es zu sprechen. Du sollst dich dadurch nicht aus der Fassung bringen lassen.	22 Thou shalt have this sign: Whatsoever that same prophet foretelleth in the name of the Lord, and it cometh not to pass: that thing the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath forged it by the pride of his mind: and therefore thou shalt not fear him.
