1 Als sich Jesus mit seinen Begleitern Jerusalem näherte und nach Betfage am Ölberg kam, schickte er zwei Jünger voraus	1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 und sagte zu ihnen: Geht in das Dorf, das vor euch liegt; dort werdet ihr eine Eselin angebunden finden und ein Fohlen bei ihr. Bindet sie los und bringt sie zu mir!	2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
3 Und wenn euch jemand zur Rede stellt, dann sagt: Der Herr braucht sie, er lässt sie aber bald zurückbringen.	3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 Das ist geschehen, damit sich erfüllte, was durch den Propheten gesagt worden ist:	4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5 Sagt der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein König kommt zu dir. Er ist friedfertig und er reitet auf einer Eselin und auf einem Fohlen, dem Jungen eines Lasttiers.	5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6 Die Jünger gingen und taten, was Jesus ihnen aufgetragen hatte.	6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 Sie brachten die Eselin und das Fohlen, legten ihre Kleider auf sie, und er setzte sich darauf.	7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8 Viele Menschen breiteten ihre Kleider auf der Straße aus, andere schnitten Zweige von den Bäumen und streuten sie auf den Weg.	8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 Die Leute aber, die vor ihm hergingen und die ihm folgten, riefen: Hosanna dem Sohn Davids! Gesegnet sei er, der kommt im Namen des Herrn. Hosanna in der Höhe!	9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
10 Als er in Jerusalem einzog, geriet die ganze Stadt in Aufregung, und man fragte: Wer ist das?	10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11 Die Leute sagten: Das ist der Prophet Jesus von Nazaret in Galiläa.	11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
12 Jesus ging in den Tempel und trieb alle Händler und Käufer aus dem Tempel hinaus; er stieß die Tische der Geldwechsler und die Stände der Taubenhändler um	12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 und sagte: In der Schrift steht: Mein Haus soll ein Haus des Gebetes sein. Ihr aber macht daraus eine Räuberhöhle.	13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14 Im Tempel kamen Lahme und Blinde zu ihm und er heilte sie.	14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
15 Als nun die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten die Wunder sahen, die er tat, und die Kinder im Tempel rufen hörten: Hosanna dem Sohn Davids!, da wurden sie ärgerlich	15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
16 und sagten zu ihm: Hörst du, was sie rufen? Jesus antwortete ihnen: Ja, ich höre es. Habt ihr nie gelesen: Aus dem Mund der Kinder und Säuglinge schaffst du dir Lob?	16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
17 Und er ließ sie stehen und ging aus der Stadt hinaus nach Betanien; dort übernachtete er.	17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
18 Als er am Morgen in die Stadt zurückkehrte, hatte er Hunger.	18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 Da sah er am Weg einen Feigenbaum und ging auf ihn zu, fand aber nur Blätter daran. Da sagte er zu ihm: In Ewigkeit soll keine Frucht mehr an dir wachsen. Und der Feigenbaum verdorrte auf der Stelle.	19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 Als die Jünger das sahen, fragten sie erstaunt: Wie konnte der Feigenbaum so plötzlich verdorren?	20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus antwortete ihnen: Amen, das sage ich euch: Wenn ihr Glauben habt und nicht zweifelt, dann werdet ihr nicht nur das vollbringen, was ich mit dem Feigenbaum getan habe; selbst wenn ihr zu diesem Berg sagt: Heb dich empor und stürz dich ins Meer!, wird es geschehen.	21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 Und alles, was ihr im Gebet erbittet, werdet ihr erhalten, wenn ihr glaubt.	22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
23 Als er in den Tempel ging und dort lehrte, kamen die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volkes zu ihm und fragten: Mit welchem Recht tust du das alles? Wer hat dir dazu die Vollmacht gegeben?	23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
24 Jesus antwortete ihnen: Auch ich will euch eine Frage stellen. Wenn ihr mir darauf antwortet, dann werde ich euch sagen, mit welchem Recht ich das tue.	24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
25 Woher stammte die Taufe des Johannes? Vom Himmel oder von den Menschen? Da überlegten sie und sagten zueinander: Wenn wir antworten: Vom Himmel!, so wird er zu uns sagen: Warum habt ihr ihm dann nicht geglaubt?	25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
26 Wenn wir aber antworten: Von den Menschen!, dann müssen wir uns vor den Leuten fürchten; denn alle halten Johannes für einen Propheten.	26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
27 Darum antworteten sie Jesus: Wir wissen es nicht. Da erwiderte er: Dann sage auch ich euch nicht, mit welchem Recht ich das alles tue.	27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
28 Was meint ihr? Ein Mann hatte zwei Söhne. Er ging zum ersten und sagte: Mein Sohn, geh und arbeite heute im Weinberg!	28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
29 Er antwortete: Ja, Herr!, ging aber nicht.	29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
30 Da wandte er sich an den zweiten Sohn und sagte zu ihm dasselbe. Dieser antwortete: Ich will nicht. Später aber reute es ihn und er ging doch.	30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
31 Wer von den beiden hat den Willen seines Vaters erfüllt? Sie antworteten: Der zweite. Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: Amen, das sage ich euch: Zöllner und Dirnen gelangen eher in das Reich Gottes als ihr.	31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 Denn Johannes ist gekommen, um euch den Weg der Gerechtigkeit zu zeigen, und ihr habt ihm nicht geglaubt; aber die Zöllner und die Dirnen haben ihm geglaubt. Ihr habt es gesehen und doch habt ihr nicht bereut und ihm nicht geglaubt.	32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
33 Hört noch ein anderes Gleichnis: Es war ein Gutsbesitzer, der legte einen Weinberg an, zog ringsherum einen Zaun, hob eine Kelter aus und baute einen Turm. Dann verpachtete er den Weinberg an Winzer und reiste in ein anderes Land.	33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
34 Als nun die Erntezeit kam, schickte er seine Knechte zu den Winzern, um seinen Anteil an den Früchten holen zu lassen.	34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
35 Die Winzer aber packten seine Knechte; den einen prügelten sie, den andern brachten sie um, einen dritten steinigten sie.	35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36 Darauf schickte er andere Knechte, mehr als das erste Mal; mit ihnen machten sie es genauso.	36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 Zuletzt sandte er seinen Sohn zu ihnen; denn er dachte: Vor meinem Sohn werden sie Achtung haben.	37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38 Als die Winzer den Sohn sahen, sagten sie zueinander: Das ist der Erbe. Auf, wir wollen ihn töten, damit wir seinen Besitz erben.	38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
39 Und sie packten ihn, warfen ihn aus dem Weinberg hinaus und brachten ihn um.	39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
40 Wenn nun der Besitzer des Weinbergs kommt: Was wird er mit solchen Winzern tun?	40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
41 Sie sagten zu ihm: Er wird diesen bösen Menschen ein böses Ende bereiten und den Weinberg an andere Winzer verpachten, die ihm die Früchte abliefern, wenn es Zeit dafür ist.	41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
42 Und Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Habt ihr nie in der Schrift gelesen: Der Stein, den die Bauleute verworfen haben, er ist zum Eckstein geworden; das hat der Herr vollbracht, vor unseren Augen geschah dieses Wunder?	42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
43 Darum sage ich euch: Das Reich Gottes wird euch weggenommen und einem Volk gegeben werden, das die erwarteten Früchte bringt.	43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 Und wer auf diesen Stein fällt, der wird zerschellen; auf wen der Stein aber fällt, den wird er zermalmen.	44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
45 Als die Hohenpriester und die Pharisäer seine Gleichnisse hörten, merkten sie, dass er von ihnen sprach.	45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
46 Sie hätten ihn gern verhaften lassen; aber sie fürchteten sich vor den Leuten, weil alle ihn für einen Propheten hielten.	46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
