1 Ich habe gesagt: Hört doch, ihr Häupter Jakobs und ihr Richter aus dem Haus Israel! Ist es nicht eure Pflicht, das Recht zu kennen?	1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
2 2a. Sie aber hassen das Gute und lieben das Böse. 2b Darum zieht man auch ihnen die Haut ab und reißt ihnen das Fleisch von den Knochen.	2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 Sie fressen mein Volk auf, sie ziehen den Leuten die Haut ab und zerbrechen ihnen die Knochen; sie zerlegen sie wie Fleisch für den Kochtopf, wie Braten für die Pfanne.	3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4 Dann werden sie zum Herrn schreien; er aber wird ihnen nicht antworten. Er wird sein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen; denn ihre Taten sind böse.	4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
5 So spricht der Herr gegen die Propheten: Sie verführen mein Volk. Haben sie etwas zu beißen, dann rufen sie: Friede! Wer ihnen aber nichts in den Mund steckt, dem sagen sie den Heiligen Krieg an.	5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
6 Darum kommt die Nacht über euch, in der ihr keine Visionen mehr habt, und die Finsternis, in der ihr nicht mehr wahrsagen könnt. Die Sonne geht unter für diese Propheten und der Tag wird schwarz über ihnen.	6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
7 Die Seher werden zuschanden, die Wahrsager müssen sich schämen. Sie müssen alle ihren Bart verhüllen; denn Gottes Antwort bleibt aus.	7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
8 Ich aber, ich bin voller Kraft, ich bin erfüllt vom Geist des Herrn, voll Eifer für das Recht und voll Mut, Jakob seine Vergehen vorzuhalten und Israel seine Sünden.	8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Hört doch, ihr Häupter des Hauses Jakob und ihr Richter aus dem Haus Israel! Ihr verabscheut das Recht und macht alles krumm, was gerade ist.	9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
10 Ihr erbaut Zion mit Blut und Jerusalem mit lauter Unrecht.	10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 Die Häupter dieser Stadt sprechen Recht und nehmen dafür Geschenke an, ihre Priester lehren gegen Bezahlung. Ihre Propheten wahrsagen für Geld und doch berufen sie sich auf den Herrn und sagen: Ist nicht der Herr in unserer Mitte? Kein Unheil kann über uns kommen.	11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
12 Darum wird Zion euretwegen zum Acker, den man umpflügt, Jerusalem wird zu einem Trümmerhaufen, der Tempelberg zur überwucherten Höhe.	12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
